I recently acquired a Sega Nomad. When I first start the Nomad, the picture seems fine. After about 10 or 15 minutes of playing, a yellow haze develops at the top and bottom of the LCD screen (the center of the screen remains fine). The haze is particularly noticeable when the screen is black, but it is also noticeable when a regular image is on the screen. Quickly turning off and on the system does not solve the problem, either. Adjusting the brightness helps somewhat, but the haze remains. The only remedy that appears to solve the problem is allowing the system some time to rest. After a rest period of about an hour, the problem is gone, but the cycle repeats. It reminds me of an older TV on which the picture tube is dying, but I cannot justify this problem in the same manner because the Nomad has an LCD screen.

Is this a common issue for the Nomad? Any ideas on what I might do to solve the problem (short of purchasing another Nomad or LCD screen)? Do these older LCD screens have a tendency to fade over time (short of dead pixels)?

Sounds like a heat problem, but I have not experienced this.
