I don't know much about this system but it looks cool. I have noticed a bunch of bundles on ebay that say brand new Neo Geo Pocket Color and 6 games but they arent in boxes just in a plastic case. I tried to search around on the net to see if this was for real or not. All I found was another site selling them but that site said they were Japanese refurbished systems from the factory. My question is does anyone know if they made US version bundles like this? Does any NGPC play any regions games? If so then I would be fine with a Japanese version NGPC as long as I could find some games that are US. Thanks for the help.
Sidenote: If anyone knows where to find a US NGPC I'd love to know.

I don't remember all of the details (so some may be incorrect), but after they stopped making the systems and games (I think cause they went out of business/merged) they had a whole shit load of stock in warehouses. So they made the system and 6 game packages and sold them at a discount price. Regardless of the details, they were released in the US and they are legit.
As far as the games go, they should be region free.

All NGP(C) systems have a meny where you can choose between English and Japanese. Some Japanese games play also in Eglish when you set the system on English.
For games you can use ebay, although it is also mainly new carts without box and manual, also www.neo-geo.com has some more games and also some great boxed ones. Especiialy pick up Dynamite Slugger there, it's a great baseball game and I liked even though I don't like baseball. For the rest you have to decide for yourself what you want. Most games are great, for collecting you can go for the cheap cart only versions which are lots on ebay, UK versions which come in the solid clammshell box, the cardboard USA versions, or the Japanese versions (depending on game cardboard or clammshell)
Hope this helps.

There are tonnes of great games. If you are going for the full collection you'll wanna get the console and games seperatly, I got a boxed one with 3 boxed games for about £25, off ebay.
Games include King of Fighters, Sonic, Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown and Card Fighters Clash.

if you also plan on collecting for the ngpc, just be aware that finding complete games with box, manual, etc is pretty rare, due to the "discounted" bundles. You will find them on ebay, but not too often.
It is a great system, with alot of great games, I reccomend getting dark arms and samurai showdown 2.

As stated, the NGPC is region free. Most games are mono-language, but some of the early ones are dual where space allowed (it would show the language as chosen in the BIOS setting of the NGPC).
You shouldn't have a problem tracking most of the Western released games down in cart only form, just scour eBay and buy :)

The very early ones, mainly the b&w titles. Stuff like KoF R1 for example.
