Here's the loot:

All for $20!

So I decided to check out some garage sales this weekend. Unbelievably, I went 3 for 5 with finding video games. The first garage sale I found a CIB NES in great condition. The price was $10 but I got it for $8. The second garage sale was a bust. The third one I got a 6 switch Atari with 14 games, 3 controllers and all the hookups. I also got 2 boxes of hockey card packs (uppperdeck and score). Got these items for only $8. The next garage sale I picked up a Clockwork Orange record for .50 and the last garage sale I picked up a NES deck and Qbert table top arcade (in bad condition) both for $4. So in all I spent 1hr and $20 and came back with a huge load of games.

I was beginning to give up on finding pre PSX stuff in the wild lately. This summer I’ve been through 2 major community garage sales and found nothing. It’s good to see that there are still good items in the wild!!

Great find, but nonetheless

"f you find a Kizuna Encounter, Euro, Neo Geo AES, complete, for $1, post it in the finds thread. NOT in its own thread."

It's been ten years since I left the hobby, but when I was still in 1980s packs of cards were worth picking up. What sort of price are we talking here?

$5-10 dollars for the boxes..
....
One vendor had a truck load about 3 weeks ago of all types of trading cards..I've never seen so many cards in my life..from new to old stuff piles and piles/boxes and boxes...Piles over my head...It was a massive mess of stuff ,some that had fell out....stepping on them etc..

I figure this was a stores stuff that he got from buying a storage bin as I could see these large cardboard slide/drawer boxes that had writing on them in marker saying what was in themm. Some were mixed up..
As I saw one of these that said Super Mario Bros I bought it for $7.00..there must over been over 100-200 cards in there but before I left I noticed there were Sports cards so I got my money back..(IMO someone switched it)
The piles and people were just so/too much that I didn't feel like looking for anything else or them..

Um....we have this new rule about "finds". They all go in the finds thread, not in separate threads.

I guess $5 for a box can't be too bad.

Nice finds! Put 'em in the weekend finds thread so everybody can oogle over them.
