I do... In my opinion, the game's cool. I just started playing the game cuz I brought it today. I didn't get it just cuz the girls jiggle a certain way but because I like wrestling and also its the first game to have an all girl roaster. I like how when the characters go from face to heel or vice versa, they totally change in everything. The graphics are a plus. LOL Anyways, I got a quick question to those that play the game, how do you climb the turnbuckle?

Never played "Cuty Suzuki's Ringside Angel" huh?
The turnbuckles are easier to climb, and alot less jiggle.

And before that, there was Gokuaku Doumei Dump Matsumoto (Japanese version of Pro Wrestling) for the SMS...

A game that pre-dates Cuty (Thats how its actually spelled) Suzuki's Ringside Angel? Wow!
Its a shame that SMS game and Nintendo's "Pro Wrestling" couldnt have been combined. The comic greatness of Starman and fighting a bunch of women would have made the world implode from its goodness.

She's very cut, indeed.

I enjoyed the game, though the gameplay grew tedious. The graphics were great, but the storylines for each girl were rather weak. The limited number of outfits was also disappointing.

Nah...I never heard of Cuty Suzuki's Ringside Angel or Gokuaku Doumei Dump Matsumoto but I did play Pro-Wrestling for NES.

I bought it from EBGames.com a few weeks ago for $9.99 brand new (it's now $24.99 with a $20 gift voucher). It's pretty high on my list of games to start next, but I've been too hooked on a few other games as of late (notably Katamari Damacy and Kirby Super Star).

yes,it is a fine wrestling game.even if you take away all the t&a of the game, its still a solid wrestling game with an arcade feel to it.

The price reduction is a recent thing because about a month ago I saw it for $40-$50. I brought my copy for $25 brand new in EBGames with no voucher too.

I got it about a month after it was released. I liked it a bit more than I thought I would based on reviews but have not played it lately. Of course, I haven't played any PS2 games lately...

The thing with me is that in order to find out if a game is good or not is by playing it yourself. Sure I can look at reviews but everyone have different opinions. One game could be extremely bad for one person and the total opposite for another person. Rumble Roses is a good example. Another wrestling game that I heard is good is Ultimate Muscle for Gamecube.

Speaking of "Cutie" Suzuki's game....its like prowrestling but better all around.
All the female wrestlers are done in a sort of "anime" style, there are more moves, improved control, and when you go to the opposite ends of the ring the screen splits in two.
All it really lacks is Starman and his hilarious "flying elbow" or whatever the hell his move is. The two frames of animation between the hit and falling down make that the funniest move ever. LOL

I picked this up a couple weeks ago from EB.com for $10 new but haven't played it yet. I'm waiting to get one of those ASCII 1-handed controllers first. :P

I was going to start a thread on this, so I'm glad someone else did. I have to say that Rumble Roses is my favorite wrestling game next to Def Jam, considering that I don't follow the idiocy that is the WWE.

It's funny...I always wanted a wrestling game of nothing but females...then it comes along and I do buy it but I've hardly played it at all. I think I'm going to hook up my PS2 tonight and start having some Rumble Roses action tonight...I've mostly been playing XBox. I've also been playing mostly baseball games so it's time to get a change of pace going.

There is an all girls grappler (for the TG-16 I believe) that is in the same style of (if not part of) the Fire Pro series. I can't recall the exact name right now as I'm not fluent in Japanese. :embarrassed:

The lovely Lucy Pinder as Anesthesia from Rumble Roses. :D
Anyways, back to topic, what do you all wanna see in the sequel to Rumble Roses? These are the things I wanna see...
-Adding some annouce tables
-Better areas of picking up weapons rather the the corners
-CAW (Create-A-Wrestler)
-More Wrestlers (I don't mind if they keep all the old characters)
-Better storyline (I didn't had a problem with the story in Rumble Roses)
-More moves (I noticed some wrestlers had 4 front grapple moves while others had
-More Arenas
-Adding ladder, Royal Rumble, and Tag Team matches
-Adding Ropebreak

I'd like to see her really wrestle in that outfit...something's bound to come out of that outfit:D
Regarding the sequel...is there even going to be a sequel? Was it really that successful? I don't follow the sales charts so I don't know but I hadn't really heard much of anything about this game since its release.

Well it's too early for a sequel to come out but you never know. I doubt I'm the only person that would like to see a sequel to the game.

Actually, I wouldn't say it's too early to think sequel since this game has now been out for nearly a year. I'd say Konami has decided by now if there will be a sequel or not. Frankly, I'll be surprised if another comes out.

Anyways, back to topic, what do you all wanna see in the sequel to Rumble Roses?
- Online play, with 8 player support like DOAU.
- Abilty to play heel character vs. noble (or whatever good was called) of the same character instead of only one or the other.
- A wake up call to GIGA to restart their fighter development teams for a new playable, rather than readable, V.G. :D

Good ideas. I totally forgot that you can't pick the Heel and Face version of a character at the same time.
For the ones that like that "Lucy Pinder as Anesthesia" pic, I got two more for you. LOL

Well it seems that there is going to be a sequel to Rumble Roses. It's going to be for the X-Box 360 (maybe they might make it for PS3 as well).

I have to admit, I own it. And consarn it, I like it. Sure I'm a dirty old man, but the wrestling is still pretty good and the boys get a kick out of it when I bring it out. I won't be buying the sequel though - one RR is enough :)

Too bad the next Rumble Roses will be on XBox 360...I might consider getting it but I won't buy a system for one game...not that I'd only get that one game, of course, but I just don't want to get the next systems...early if at all. What I'd really like to see is an all-female wrestling game featuring female crimefighters...Wonder Woman vs. She-Hulk, Black Widow vs. Black Canary, Zatanna vs. Scarlet Witch, etc. :D

Well, I might not get a PS3, either. I might not get any of the new conoles for awhile. Is the next XBox going to be that much better than the current one? How much better can it be?

Idk but I know X-Box 360 and PS3 are going to be really expensive ($400+), that's what I heard. Also, it not being able to play X-Box games is retarded. I don't own a X-Box and I was hoping X-Box 360 was going to play X-Box games. This way I could just get a X-Box 360. I guess I have no choice but to buy X-Box. I'm going to get the Nintendo Revolution and my brother is going to get the PS3 for sure but I doubt Rumble Roses Double X is coming out for Revolution.

Here's more on Rumble Roses XX from GameSpot (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/07/27/news_6129864.html):
Rumble Roses XX: First details unveiled
Konami's all-gal grappling game on the Xbox 360 will feature tag-team battles, online play, and customizable wrestlers.
In the latest issue of Famitsu, Rumble Roses XX producer Akari Uchida spoke about his upcoming Xbox 360 game, the sequel to 2004's Rumble Roses for the PlayStation 2. Rumble Roses XX was first unveiled at Microsoft's Xbox Summit 2005, which took place in Tokyo this past Monday.
The biggest gameplay change in Rumble Roses XX is the implementation of tag-team battles for some girls-on-girls action. Players will be able to pick a pair of their favorite females and brawl in battles between teams of two. To give more personality to the tag-team system, the developers of Rumble Roses XX plan to include a "relationship system" in the game. In the chaos that explodes in the ring, an errant slap or chop can sometimes find its way to a teammate. If the team's relationship is strong, one or two mistakes won't be of any problem, but if the bond isn't tight, a single mistake can lead to the team's breakup.
Rumble Roses also plans some significant changes with its characters. Uchida says none of the existing characters will be replaced, and recommends that fans of the series check out the changes to the known roster before inquiring about new characters. The developers are thinking of making each wrestler specialized in a specific fighting style, such as a throw-based fighter or a full-contact fighter. Using judo-specialist Makoto as an example, Uchida revealed that she will be redesigned to fight more specifically in her martial art, using more grapples and less punches and kicks.
Uchida assures players that the specialized fighting styles for the characters won't mean that Rumble Roses XX's controls will be complicated. The developers are designing the game so that players can easily play with any of the fighting femmes. To make the action more heated for casual gamers, team attacks and special moves will be executed with just the press of a single button.
Rumble Roses XX will feature more variation in its arenas, something the original PS2 installment lacked. Uchida said that most of the fighting rings in the original Rumble Roses looked pretty much identical to each other since they were run-of-the-mill wrestling rings. In Rumble Roses XX, players will be able to fight in outdoor stages such as in a desert or in a pool.
"The previous game featured mud wrestling matches, but this time, we're thinking about a different kind of fun that will be pretty stunning... We're focusing more on the volume and play value rather than character storylines," said Uchida, who added that the game will feature many elements that couldn't be included in the previous installment. However, Rumble Roses XX will not feature the continuation of the PS2's storyline, branching off instead in an original plot.
When asked how Rumble Roses XX will take advantage of Xbox Live, Uchida confirmed that the game will feature online play, revealing that users will no longer have to bring their friends over to play multiplayer matches. Uchida also revealed that the game should include a feature where players can create their original pro-wrestling organizations with other online users, and an extensive customization system that allows players to change more than just the costumes and accessories for their wrestlers--think 1980's movie Weird Science. "Users will be able to customize [their characters] beyond imagination. This is especially the part that we've put a lot of effort in, so please look forward to it," commented Uchida.
According to Famitsu, Rumble Roses XX is currently 27 percent complete. No release date has been announced for the game yet.
