I picked up Snatcher for Sega CD yesterday for 3.99 at a Flea market. Everything looked fine.. it had the manual, case, even the little grey foam piece and there were no scratches on the disc. The only problem was that the rental store that it had previously belonged to, etched their name into the center piece of the disc. I'm doubting that there is any thing that can remove or reduce it.. but just out of curiosity.. is there?

Relax, would you rather have a correct answer or an incorrect one that will trash that copy of Snatcher? There are scratch removal compounds but they will generally be harmful to the rest of the disc. I'd just leave it alone, wouldn't want to screw with it and crack the disc center.

If it plays, I'd leave it alone also. Just my 2 cents :)

Here's another couple of cents: If the ugly sight bothers you, get a disc label and put the center piece on top of it.

if snatcher is common, get a disc only copy and put it in your complate box.. i dont know about scd games so i might be sounding like a fool about now.

Amazing, only comment on the guy that's TRYING to help you but is unsure, however nothing about the advice you were struggling to get in the first place. I don't mean for this to sound like a flame, because it isn't, but this thread is starting to smell of negativity.

YOU GOT IT FOR FOUR DOLLARS, GEEZ! Four bucks for the case, insert, and manual is an excellent deal.

I was only filling him in. No negativity intended. But thanks for trying to help.. I guess I'll just live with the etching.
