I sold a game on e-bay. A mint xbox game and I got payment immediately and shipped it immediately. Well 3 days later I get an e-mail saying the cd is scratched and the box is bent and they want a refund . (they have 4 feedback). Naturally i e-mail them back and tell them that everything was mint and as described. Now I get an e-mail from SquareTrade. She has gotten them as a mediator. she wants a refund and wants me to pay shipping. I think she had a scratched game and this is her way to get a new one. Oh she also has Pay-Pal looking into it and she says she will get her credit card company to reverse the charges. What should I do?

Do you have dated pics of the game?
*sigh* This is why I allways say in my auctions that I am NOT responsible for lost/damaged packages AFTER THEY LEAVE MY ARMS.

do not accept paypal from anyone under 50 feedback.
do not let anyone under 10 bid, it's just not worth it.
but ask that she return the game before giving any refund.
and offer insurance in the shipping for items, if they don't want it...well then SOL is them.

They got insurance . But how does that help?
USPS says that they only pay if the item is lost or if there is physical proof of damage to the shipping box. If there is no damage to the box they don't pay. If you ship a game system and they drop it from 20 feet and the system doesnt work, well too bad unless the box is damaged. Insurance doesn't help at all.

About two years ago I mailed out a package containing about forty PSX games. Same deal, the bidder had zero feedback, paid immediately, no problems. However, I soon get an e-mail stating that one of the games that was near the top was damaged. Apparently the disc was snapped in half but the case was perfectly fine. :hmm:
Anyway, long story short, she did have insurance and she had to supply proof as to how much the game itself cost. I ran over to my local EBworld, had them print out a receipt for the game, and mailed it to her. She got the $40 it was valued at and everything was fine.
Of course, I have no idea if the box itself had been damaged though.
