Is that upside-down turtle from Super Mario Bros? Which console?

You should have bid $100... that way you'd be guaranteed to win.

I designed mitmoe's avatar (it's from our gallery which by the way has quite a few animated avatars for all to use). It's from the arcade version of Mario Bros.

i didn't want to bid that high for that game because some fool might have jacked it up that high on me, you know since it's the "rarest" DC game and all. I've seen a few get pretty pricy since all the blood suckers found out some people consider it a "rare" collectable. I'll play the waiting game again. :/

What do you mean exactly? How could someone else inflate YOUR bid? x_x

i am not willing to pay that much for the game. If I bid $100, and someone decides to be an asshole, they can try to outbid that $100 over and over and that would force me to have to pay if they were not successful in the effort. If I would have remembered the auction was up I would have watched and tried to outbid this guy. Oh well.

Okay, I understand this part

Here's where you're losing me. I still don't understand how someone who is willing to pay $100 for it is an asshole. They either outbid you or they don't. If you're not willing to bid $100 on the game, then that's fine, don't do it. How does someone who bid, let's say $105 on the game force you to buy it for $100? Where's the problem? x_x

Maybe he's talking about schill bidders, Dave - people (or non-people) purposely bidding to jack up the price of an auction. It's illegal practice even by eBay's loose standards, but it does happen.

Ah! Now I've got it. :)
