if you have a meijer near by, swing in and check if they have any psone w/ lcd screen combo (they come in a green box). they are $50 on clearence, and they are having a 25% off today, so they come up to $39 with tax. bought one, and its an awesome deal on a nice portable system for summer.

i have a 6 hour car ride tomorrow (chicago), and im bringing this with say, castlevania sotn and another psx classic. leaving the psp and the ds at home (they have shite libraries, and the psx is not only my favorite system, but the one i have the best collection for (check out the sig)). damn this screen is good, just tried castlevania on it, looks fantatic.

I see this as a current trend. I don't know if any large chains outside of Wal Mart will return merch without a receipt anymore.

Are you talking about the return of defective goods? Over here stores have to take things back if they're defective even if you don't have a receipt. If you just want to return it because you don't like it it's up to the store to decide whether to take it back or not, and they usually ask for a receipt in that case.

but they are not obliged to give you cash back. most stores will take back defective merch w/o a receipt, but only allow an exchange or store credit. after working retail for too long and knowing what slimeballs will try to do on a daily basis it really is the only fair way to do things.

Walmart Canada changed this as of May 2.
No reciept, no luck.
