This is weird... I got a gold Zelda cart, but when I put it in the NES, it plays the game Ice Climber! Never had that happen with a cart before. I guess somewhere down the line somebody switched the circuit boards, but for what reason I have no idea. Anyone else had this happen?

Now if only someone would have put the Nintendo World Championship circuit board in your Zelda game. Those bastards.

I've never seen it happen, and can't fathom why unless the battery died on Zelda and the same person also had a smashed case but otherwise working Ice Climber cart.

I knew a guy who would buy new games, then return the boxes with an old, crappy game inside. Maybe this is a more high-tech version of the old switcharoo... the previous owner took out the Zelda board, replaced it with whatever crappy game in his collection that he hated (Ice Climber), and brought it back to the store, which made the unwise decision to sell it again.

It already happend to me but it was with 2600 Activision game. On the label it's was Spider Fighter but when i fired up the console, the game was Sky Jinks !!!!

Good chance they put the bad label/board in the factory because there no screwholes on the label. Now, this cart his on the hands of Ianoid.

i rented castlevania LOD from the video store when it first came out and when i went to play it, someone had switched the boards with the regular castlevania 64.

I bought an NES Castlevania game at a thrift, but someone had put a Pinball circuit board inside.

Anyone have a Megaman 4 cart with Duck Hunt/SMB game? Because I got a Duck Hunt/SMB cart from Funcoland with Megaman 4 in it. A $20 game for only $0.20 :D

I also found a Spelunker in a Super Pitfall cart. Returned it. :P

I picked up a Namco Museum Vol. 1 that had Rugrats in Paris burned on it. But I suppose that one is Sony's fault... :/

When I worked at Funcoland a few years ago, we had some guy come in and try to trade in a Chrono Trigger Cart. Well since we tested all the high $$ carts to make sure they work, low and behold, a low end SNES sports title was inside! (NCAA Basketball I think) I told the guy I couldn't take it, and he was quite pissed! Oh well, what a jerk.
