Im looking for a lucky charms box if anybody has seen one.. I might ask this seller if he has one.. $150 is a steal (especially because if I won it, I would send him my empty wallet).

What's funny is someone did the same thing when the PS2 was first released in the US. Someone paid for it and got the box in the mail. They failed to read the item description right.... It was all over the news too lol.

just asked the seller whether he's willing to negotiated a little - like knock off $149 off BIN and I will pay the shipping plus $1... let's see what the seller says... :p

It was originally for a PS2 box. There's been me-too chancers trying it with every other system since then.

Well.. looks like somebody bit :(

Poor poor guy.. I just sent him a message telling him not to pay for the item (unless he WANTS to pay $150 for an empty box).

I guess it just goes to show that you have to be REALLY careful with your auctions.

If you send him a message telling him not to pay, can you get in trouble with ebay?

I'd say screw him...
you get three hits so if the buyer hasn't got the strike yet just ignore and let the seller pays eBay the listing fee... :D

Good thing you did. Did he reply? The seller should have been much clearer that this was the box only.

it said BOX in the title, so if you didn't even read or understand the item title or description before throwing 150 bucks down on it, then you're a moron.

Everybody makes mistakes and somebody preying on people who may not know better (ahem, every single person I have sold to has been a Habieb or a Jose) and my not have known the best english, is just flat out wrong..

If ebay wants to slap me on the wrist about it.. then fine.
You guys make me sick.. what if this happened to you on accedent, your saying that you wouldnt want somebody to help you out?

I sent him an e-mail letting him know he just bought a box and he responded with:

I didn't pay for the item. I sent seller a message that I'm buying a PSP system not just an empty box. So far no reply. Thanks for your concern.
