Today, a friend of mine and I were on the road searching for video games in the Dalton, Georgia area. Seemed like any other day, except I had a feeling I was going to find something simply awesome down there (I thought surely I'd find something as good as Suikoden II or Valkyrie Profile down there for next to nothing)... So we had been rolling around Dalton for a while, when we decided to take a couple side roads and land ourselves at a certain fairly large Salvation Army (I believe it's on Thornton Avenue, for you locals who would like to know where it is). So I go inside, expecting little, but hoping for a lot. Several things caught my eye there, a stack of PC games, a stack of 8-track cassettes, some old computer monitors, etc. I look to the right of the monitors, and I find a case and manual to Panzer Dragoon (for the Saturn, but no game disc...so I bought it anyway). I also found, next to the cassette tapes, a Multiplication 1 for the TI-99/4A system (bought that, too). I look a bit further left, and saw a Super Nintendo that hadn't been yellowed for $10. Since I had only $20 or so on me in the first place, I passed on that SNES. But for whatever reason, I happened to notice the box underneath the SNES, and it just had the word "Odyssey" written on the side of the box. I say to my friend, "Oh, that can't be another game system..." Sure enough, I open up the box, and I smiled when I saw an original 1972 Magnavox Odyssey, along with both controllers, 8 games, and a TV/Game switch. I smiled even more when I saw the price tag on it. And I bought that whole bundle, along with the Panzer Dragoon case and manual, and the Multiplication 1 TI-99 cart, for a grand total of $3.99, after tax. According to Digital Press, 2 of the games I got are rarity level 9. In your opinion, how'd I do?

:eek 2: i'd say you did pretty good, 2 R9's for under 5 bucks has gotta be a good deal. the panzer dragoon and the multiplication are only R2's, but a Boxed Odyssey and all those games for that cheap.... wow.

BTW what's in your avatar? is it like a nipple or a tornado or something?
