There has been alot of talk of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and the AO rating. I am starting a new topic to find out:
What other Video Games have received this rating(AO)?
Of these games, Which are on console?
On a side note, What games have received the EC rating?
Maybe we need to look beyond Take 2 and GTA and see if the ESRB can be a little more consistant with their ratings.

The only console games were the 3DO games like The Coven and Endlessly and stuff. Most of those weren't exactly "games" though, and more like sampler videos.

The Vivid 3DO games came out before the ESRB I beleive. I have Super Models Go Wild and this game does have a "Adults Only" rating but it is not that issued by the ESRB. The icon looks like a stop sign with an "AO" written on it.
The point I'm looking at is the ESRB doesn't do a very good job of rating from the get go. Again any console games with the AO rating OR the EC rating?
Im sure had the ESRB been around back in the days of the NES their might be some EC rated games but I willing to bet that they would have been rated K-A (E).
Shouldn't The Guy Game or Playboy Mansion be rated AO? Why are these games Rated M then?

I *think* when Night Trap was rereleased, it had an AO rating. I'm not 100% sure though.
And I think these game makers go for M ratings rather than AO for the same reason movie companies would rather get a PG-13 rating rather than an R...because there are a lot of places that will not show R rated movies, so you lose out on a large portion of your potential audience. So they may want to make the AO game, but so they can be sold in a larger number of stores...they hold back a bit, and get the safer M rating.
At least that's my view of it.

No, just an M, and that was after the initial release and Liberman and Kohl made it an issue.

Probably because there's no full frontal. TGG is a bunch of flashing and a few rear shots. Hef and the girls keep their underwear on in Playboy Mansion.
