That is a VERY good question. I saw that as well and wondered. It looks to be though as if it just might be sunfaded... or at least I hope it is. I don't want to have to track down a Caltron variation weather it be box, cart or manual. Maybe we should ask for a CU scan.

One more thing.... look how the caltron market has gone nuts since the 535 caltron sold. There seems to be one or two every couple weeks.

OH GODDAMNIT!

looks like we have ourselves a caltron variation.

The two manuals up currently are MOST definately different.

Also... in the auction is slightly different then the one I have. Mine has a black label on the back of the cart whereas that one has a blue one. Also, the writing appears different. That one on ebay has a phone number for caltron, however the back black label version DOES not. Other then that... the cart is identical (from what i see).

This definately DOES NOT make my day.
Now i have to shell out some serious dough to snag this variation.

Piss.

The Manual is sunfaded, the sticker on the back looks like it is from a rental company, it even has a phone number on the bottom

D_N_G: The phone number on the blue label matches the telephone number on the back of the manual... I highly doubt either piece is from a rental store.

BTW, looks pretty interesting. For those select few of you here who have played it, is it any good? (>_< Sorry, I had to ask :D .)

If you look at both manual covers they are completely different. One doesn't even say caltron on the front.

Wow, just noticed this thread...sweet variation! It seems as though more and more variations are surfacing. I wonder who won this auction, this definitely seems to be a rare variation....would be nice to check out all the differences to possibly explain which version was released first, etc.

Edit: I just noticed that the sleeves are different as well, one has Mega Soft Inc, 1991, written below Caltron Ind Inc, and the other one doesn't! :)

Here is an auction with the other Caltron for comparison:

The reserve wasnt met so no one won it. But maybe someone sent him a PM and did a deal outside Ebay.
