Hi this is my first post here. Today I bought Jeapordy Sports Edition from a local game store, but when I got home and put it in my SNES it would not start. The power light on the system didn't even come on after I flipped the switch. Other games work fine. It is like this game is stopping the SNES from turning on. I experimented by turning the system on with no game then inserting the broken cartraige, and as soon as I pushed it down the light went off. I have never experienced a game act as oddly as this one is. What the heck is wrong with it? I am going to return it tomorrow, but was just curious if anyone had any info to share about this. Thanks a lot.

The only thing that is popping up in my head is the game could be causing some kind of short in the system, shutting it off. I wouldn't stick that in the system anymore if I were you.

i would make sure all the metal prongs that need to be there are there. and shake it, if it sounds broke, its broke.

I have had this same problem with my snes in the past, take this for what it's worth?

The first time it was a Pirate Pal cart that was marked as NTSC and it did the exact thing, after a few times it finally popped my snes 's fuse! dammit! :/

The second time, the cart was damp inside and the snes just wouldn't work, until i tried another game?

Also if you have the game bit to do it? Open that game up and see whats inside it? maybe there's more to the game than meets the eye? always worth alook inside ;)
