Have something to punch or throw by level four.
Edit: Now that I think about it, this would make a great DS title if it was fleshed out a bit.

I played this a couple days ago, it is brutal indeed! I got to level 5 before I called it quits, fun game though.

Some form of this should definately be in the arcade. I'm on level 7 right now, and i'm getting pretty messed up. I needed something like this to sharpen my brain up, since i'm not in school at the moment. :D

Yes. Indeed. I second that. It would sort the men from the boys, and the intellectuals from the blagger students wannabe's!
And yes, I did get baffled on level 4, but only for about 7 minutes...

Level 4 - 540 points, i stopped because it bored me after a while but it could be aight maybe in a cabinet with other puzzle games and a time limit on it.

If by fleshed out you mean more than just this, I agree. I love this game but I wouldn't pay full DS price for just it alone :)
(I've just paused Level 6 to come back to post this message).

that is a great game -- i think someone mentioned that it should be timed -- it is timed
i was just checking it out at work and ofcourse my 2 bosses and co-worker had to get busy and keep bothering me for stuff so i had to constantly hide the screen and i ened up finishing the 4th level 10 something min and i got no points for it - so i think that means its timed
but on to my review - i dont think its the giant brain game some people are making it out to be -- it seems kind of easy - when playing it i picture it like a tangled up rubber band net and you are tying to untangle it. - its kind of like turning the mess inside out -- the relationships between the lines are easily noticeable -- i realy like the game (thanks for shareing your find) but it dosent exactly look like it belongs in the arcade. But if it was in the arcade i think this is a game where the high score would have no roof (like hexagon)
i dont think it deseves to be called brutal -- mabey should labeled as patience needed
i think its alot of fun and look forward to keep on playing it but it just dosent seem like DP arcade material

I gave up on Level 8. I took 14 minutes to do Level 7 and got no points. tough game but addicting.

Ditto, man. I'm just glad I'm not the only one who doesn't know what the hell to do with those lines.

I got to L7 - 722, and I'm sure I was getting near the solution, but looking at the clock 40 minutes have already gone by! Honestly, the most creative games being created these days are flash games. I had an idea to release a Warioware style flash game compilation on consoles - perhaps 50-100 solid minigames on a disc for $20. Who wouldn't buy this? I don't have time for 20 hour quests - give me a nice quick game and I'm solid.
Try this one: http://www.2flashgames.com/f/f-1211.htm (Chaos Theory). My top is 121.

Just started level 9 with 1098 points. Very doable, just... my eyes are starting to glaze over. Verts with only 2 or 3 dots to it are your friends.
EDIT: Level 10 - does the pain ever end?!

After 16 minutes on level 5, I gave up.
Incredibly simplistic, but extremely difficult!

Ah!
Does every level have a solution?
This game has a few bugs. Sometimes, it will generate a level that has no solution (no planar embedding). This will be fixed.
This explains why lvl 5 for me appeared to have no solution!
Can't wait to play the final version!

Augh... either I'm somewhat retarded, or my own set rule of "Level 3 is always where the difficulty seriously picks up" shines in prominence here. Whatever the reason, Level 3 kicked my ass to the smooth marble curb. This is a pretty enterprising concept for a game, though, and I agree with its DS potential.

I just hit level 8 with 1088 points. The trip I use is to isolate areas and word around them. I cornet them off and make a kind or perimeter around the entire thing.

This game is cool...on level 12 now. So simple, but so unique! I wonder how high it goes.
The game really isn't that hard. From level 7-12, they start to take around 20-45 minutes to do, but they are still actually pretty easy (just time-consuming), you just have to keep at them until you've sorted them all out.
I didn't find the game frustrating at all....pretty relaxing, actually.

I'm absolutely loving this game.
I just finished level 9 and I can't wait to tackle 10. For what it's worth, I finished 9 in 7:17 and my score so far is 2931.
I should probably stop sneaking off to play it here at work, but I just want to keep going. LOL

The pause feature makes this game wonderful. I restarted, and have been working at it bit by bit all day. Now at lvl 7!

Another cool feature is the reload button (up arrow). It remembers where you left off, so you can restart it at the same level with the same score.
I think if you get one of those that doesn't happen to have a solution, just hit that button, and it generates a different layout that may be solvable. Just guessing on this one though.

It does. I got an unsolvable lvl 7. The reload gave me a new puzzle and restarted the time.

wow, i've been having strange daydreams about this game, untangling lines inside my head for no apparent reason. i was also reminded of it when i was unfolding my bedspread last night.. weird.

Hmmm..made it to level 7 and have not once got an unsolvable one. In fact, I don't think there's any such thing...it's all in how you arranged the dots.

Der FAQ towards the bottom says it never ends... that if you make it to level 10, consider yourself in the class of people who can handle it.
That's why I stopped at 10... it was getting late, and I think I figured it out enough to handle it.
Isolating is a good tactic, and I have a theory that there is a strategy you can use when starting (sorting the initial circle of dots) and a strategy to finish (moving dots around to cleat them). There's just a nice sense of accomplishment when you pull one dot connected to four that the dot shifts all verts clear. :)
