I'd have to say my favorite SMS game is Black Belt, without a doubt.

The best SMS lightgun game is Safari Hunt. Let's eradicte endangered species...hehehee LOL

Hahahaha just playing. It's always been one of those games I could always come back to and enjoy everytime. I've got that game down to a science. I should write a FAQ about it.

The gameplay was always fun and the minibosses kicked ass.

I played a lot of SMS games in their day and enjoyed them all (well.. ok, MOST of them) In the end though, I have to go with the predictable default answer here folks and say Phantasy Star is the game of choice. Everything about that game just screams quality, even all these years later. Only problem is though, it's an RPG. Not exactly your "enjoy anytime" type of game :P

WonderBoy in Monsterland. I little bit action, a little bit rpg, a little bit cute(for lack of a better word). A lotta bit Fun.

I want to try Quartet, as this was a great arcade game that I pumped alot of quarters in. Haven't had the pleasure of experiencing the SMS version yet.

I like Wonder Boy 3 and Phantasy Star best, but I have a soft spot for Golvellius. Its mix of exploration and almost shooter-like dungeons makes for one enjoyable action/RPG.

Golden Axe Warrior. Very Zelda like but harder. Not as difficult as Phantasy Star though.

Mine will always be Shinobi (surprised?). Space Harrier comes in at a close 2nd, followed by Alex Kidd in Miracle World.

It's vicious hard at first, but it's worth the curve. Wonder Boy and the Dragon's trap rocked too.
