damn its been a long time since I've posted, I was wondering if anyone has purchased this emulator and if so how well do they run, I'm not really into the whole emulating thing but these deals do sound sweet, and they claim its "legal"

Sweet?

You can download an emulator and roms for FREE.

That's as good as it gets.

It's not legal.

" All copyrights and trademarks are exclusive property of their respective owners. FileWire Networks is not associated with Nintendo® or any of its subsidiaries in any way."

Nintendo has been very diligent about shutting down ROM sites in the past.

wow, blatant piracy. I see a cease and desist letter in their future.

Why would you pay $25 when you can fire up any file sharing program and get them that way?

i'd love to see them get fined the original full price of each single game £39.99 each across every disc they have sold in the past to current day

lets see 40 X 2500 as they claim = £100,000, so if they sold about fifty discs five million in fines :D would be good

I'm all for piracy in the new millenium, but charging for it is lame and shitty.

And where do they claim this is legal? Were you taken by the "professional" image of the site (meaning it was created with the same HTML generator any spammer will sell you)? Does the "over 2,500 games!" logo make you think it's legitimate?

I mean, Christ, don't be ignorant. Don't be a fool. Nobody really likes a fool, though way too many people these days are Nice to fools.

There's always going to be this continuing debate about how legal emulators/ROMs are. It's really up to the individual to make a personal ethical choice about whether to use them or not.

The thing that strikes me is that they claim you get "2500+ games." I highly doubt even if you counted the Famicom games that you'd get a total of over 2500 games to play. Illegal roms AND false advertising? For shame...

Whoa Whoa Whoa, I know that this offer is in no way legal ( i was being sarcastic), I'm not as stupid as I read :) I was just wondering if anyone purchased the emulators that's all, and like I said before I don't really like the idea of emulating, and if you ever look inside my closet as evidence by the amount of catridges that I have stacked up from the floor to the ceiling. However I really do wish that companies besides atari, intellivision and activision would put out compilations of their classics (ie capcom, konami, taito, etc) well lets see what the Revolution is going to do about the classics :-P

If you didn't think it was legal, why on EARTH would you ask if it was worth buying?

I don't think paying for an emulator would be a bad idea, as long as it is legal and official. If Nintendo released their own perfect NES/SNES emulator, I would definitely consider buying it, depending on the price. Besides this is what they're pretty much doing when the Revolution comes out, if I'm not mistaken.

My point exactly Syd and if you want to get technical Syluntwolf I never asked if it was worth buying I was just wondering if anyone had bought it that's all, I pretty much have my entire collection of nes, genesis and snes catridges, I am only looking for a few more games, Kickle Cubicle is a pain to locate. Besides having a collection of games like that is nice but IMO at least half of those games from those systems are not worth playing anyway
