Ummm. Odd request. I'd hate to suggest something low and screw the seller. Why not check eBay, search the boards, and not ask this publicly?

I don't think mentioning a price screws the seller or buyer. Web of Fire is what it is. Not easy to come by. Whats it worth? To me, very little. No slight to the game or the system. It's a personal thing. If I came across it and it was reasonable (to me) I'd definitely pick it up and hang on to it. You may be willing to drop big money (or not).

Value is between the seller and the buyer. Specifically the buyer. If there is no market for an item it goes cheap. Yes the seller can set prices, but buyers can decide not to buy also.

Back to the question. It won't come cheap. Specific dollar amounts are up to you and what you feel is worth your investment. I've seen anywhere from $75 or so to near $300.

True cost it what you assess personally, in my opinion.

This is the second time I've posted a link to a game you were trying to price. Please start using the Online Rarity Guide in the menu above. Rarity and value are in the listings. This is the last time I'm going to be nice about it. Next time, I start in with the n00b abuse.

According to the DP Guide the game is worth $80 complete. A search on eBay (http://search-completed.ebay.com/Web-of-Fire_Video-Games_W0QQampq3bsspagenameZhQ3ahQ3aadvsearchQ3aUSQ QcatrefZC5QQfclZ3QQfisZ2QQfromZR7QQfrppZ100QQfsooZ 1QQfsopZ1QQpfidZ0QQsacatZ1249QQsatitleZQ22WebQ20of Q20FireQ22QQsofocusZbs) of recently ended auctions shows that there haven't been many copies of the game for sale recently. One loose copy went for $99 but it appears that the seller had to list it 4 or 5 times before it was bought. Another copy with the manual sold for $82. You didn't say if the copy that you were buying came with the box or manual but this should give you some reference to go by.

To me the best way to check the value of a game is to either 1) Check the DP guide for an estimated (sometimes inaccurate) price, or check completed listings on ebay.

I'd say $100 is a fair offer for a complete one, if it is mint that is. I remember a sealed one sold for $105, but that was around 6-9 months ago and the price has obviously gone up a bit.

I just sold a copy to another DP member not long ago. I think his original offer for a mint copy was $185... can't remember exactly because I inspected my item before sealing the deal and noticed some damage to one side corner of the box. I sent him pics and the price was adjusted. I still got $185 but that was for that game, + World Series Baseball and including shipping with Insurance and Delivery COnfirmation, so my brain fuzzes out on how much of that was for the game itself. I think maybe 150-160.

It was a good deal for me, thats for sure. My email program glitched up though so I never heard from the buyer if he was happy or not. I know he got it, and that he did email me but it got flagged as spam for some reason and wouldnt allow me to retrieve it....... Hey if that buyer is reading this give me a pm in case you had an issue that needed addressed. All should have matched the pics though.

Hope all that helped

I tracked this game for th longest time on ebay. I have never seen it in the wild. I refused to pay the absurd dollars for the thing, plenty of other, better expensive games. I ended up settling for a $35 loose copy of the game. I feel I got a steal off ebay at this price though. Complete copies would regularly sell for over $200, $300+ if unopened. Sometimes they would go cheaper, probably depends how many people are looking for a copy. I think $100 for a complete copy is a deal. For me it was a relief just to by the darn thing so I did not have to hunt for it any more.

Now can anyone get me World Series Baseball starring Deion Sanders fgor less than $40? This one has been creeping up in price on ebay lately.
