After playing San Andreas, if you go back to play Vice City or GTA3, does it feel kinda archiac to you seeing how you've gotten used to the advanced aspacts of SA, then go back and try to do those things in the previous 2 and remember "Oh wait, they're not in the game syet".

I know that's the kind of reaction I get when playing an older Metroid after playing the recent ones... whaddya mean, I can't grab on ledges? LOL

boring would be more like it. You get all this money but have nothing to do with it.

I definitly agree, I was trying to play some GTA 3 a couple weeks ago and damn I couldn't aim like in SA and I found it was so much harder to shoot at anything
I also find that metroid like Lady Jaye said
but other games I find that are harder to play after playing the advanced aspects are the original splinter cell compared to when i play splinter cell chaos theory
I find it alot harder than it use to be
but it's all good.
Woohoo Im a Peach

That's always my "the sequel is better than the original" moment. When I can't go back because I love what they've done to a future game. San Andreas is *definitely* that game for the GTA series for me.

Yes, the controls suck dick. I couldn't even play vice City for more than 15 minutes, it made me phsically sick trying to find the person shotting at me.

I still play GTA3 (it has my favorite missions in the series). The only thing I miss are the motorcycles.

I agree with Neil Koch, GTA3 has the best missions, IMO. Also, it's a shame that you can't dive out of your car while still accelerating in it. I remember thats what I tried doing when I first played it. I'm glad they included it in the next two games.

Im playing GTA:SA for PC atm and I think its the best GTA game in the 3D serie (from GTA3 and above).
The previous GTA games I havnt finished because I got so bored with them, but I have nearly finished GTA:SA now. I think it have the best story of the GTA games.

Eh, color me a heretic but I hated SA -- sold it back after a week or so. Too buggy. Had way too many problems with weird holes in roads, getting stuck in walls, etc. Maybe it's just me.
Loved GTA3, didn't much care for Vice City tho, except I did love tuck and rolling out of cars, and drive bys on scooters were a hoot.
...I still like GTA2 alot, but I am just a 2D fool.
I do have a hard time playing some types of older games after playing more modern games with better physics. 8 bit baseball, golf, etc just arent's as fun for me as 16-bit+ versions when a bit more care was put in to making them feel more realistic. I guess it's basically the same phenomenon....

I still like GTA2 as well. The only GTA games I don't really like are the first (along with GTA London) because the control is pretty clunky (to say the least) and it sucks not being able to save when you want.
There's some stuff in GTA2, like the gang respect meter, that I wish was put into the later games. One of the things I don't like about GTA3 is that once the gangs hate you they'll always hate you. It isn't too much of a problem with most of them, but the Mafia and their shotguns make a ride through St. Mark's near impossible without dying or at least getting your car blown up.
I think they should also have the shops where you can put weapons on your vehicle... and I miss being able to burp/fart on command :D

I hear ya there. Still wish SA had an option to replay missions you passed.
