Dreamcast Hydro Thunder Turbo glitch

Anybody know about a glitch in Hydro Thunder (DC) that gives infinite turbo? I played it a while ago, and the turbo meter in the corner of the screen was grayed out all of a sudden, and I had unlimited turbo.

I tried to recreate this glitch, but I've never had any luck.

Anyone else ever seen this?
