LOL... just played this game last night. My brother laughed commenting "looks like it was made in someone's garage"... although I will say that's part of the game's charm. Despite sometimes troubling camera angles and clumsy control, I kinda dig it in the "its bad it's good" way...

any thoughts, memories, rants, raves, etc?

lmao, isn't that the game where you're the guy in the tight yellow body suit with the thing on his head? I remember I had a demo for it on my PC and I was beating up like cowboys or something, and before that I was in a museum. That game was hilarious.

All I remember about Time Commando was back when Babbage's used to sell Saturn imports, they only had five or six games, and one of them was always Time Commando. That was the only one I never bought.

"Hmm, Radiant Silvergun or Time Commando?"

"Hmm, X-Men Vs. Streetfighter or Time Commando?"

"Hmm, Deep Fear or Time Commando?"

"Hmm, Pocket Fighter or Time Commando?"

I don't want to remember it. In fact, I would like to permanently remove it from my memory. If anyone can help with that, let me know.

Time Commando looked reasonably impressive considering at the time of its release. Hardware-based 3D acceleration was not yet a standard, and many first person shooters of that time period were still using sprites instead of polygons.

I've only played the first stage of Time Commando. I didn't find its gameplay impressive, but I must admit that the game features some excellent music. The game features some neat concepts but is not great as far as its execution is concerned. My favourite thing about the game (other than the music) is the variety of enemies that you encounter.

Ohh my goodness:..Seeing Time Commando hit me in the head like a ton of bricks.
Years ago I had a extreme desire to play this game..I had sold the copy I had of it within a bunch of other games ..
After wanting to play it I found another copy of it and remember playing it with the desire to get as far as I can in it.I think I got stuck somewhere and stopped playing it..
That above I remember..
What I can't remember is what system I had it for/sold it/bought it again and must of resold it....I just looked in my Playstation rack and I don't see it..
I think it was Playstation...
What systems did this come out for..?

1 of Activision's worst outings during the 32B era.

I remember going into a Funcoland with my brother a loooong time ago, and being blown away by Time Commando on the 3D0.

Heh, I bought the PC version at full price when it came out and I loved the game oO The graphics were very impressive and I liked all the different weapons you can have in the different time zones. It's also one of the few games I finished several times, but I think it was really easy on the easiest difficulty mode ;)

It was the first playstation game my friend had. We both thought it was crap at first, but we actually did start to enjoy it once we got better at it.

I can't remember if we ever beat the 'virus'. I remember getting frustrated there at (what I'm guessing was) the last boss.

Got to play it more... I kinda like it... but overall I'd rate it as high as 6.0/10

-Love the different enemies... nothing like kicking a tiger in its face to throwing ninja stars at the sumo wrestler to hitting overweight monks with the mace.... ahhh

-Some cool bosses

I always remember Time Commando as being the game that you would get for free when you bought a new PC. That and Pod. LOL
