So I'm selling a few things on eBay, nothing spectaclar, but out of all my items the NES cleaning kit has a bunch of people watching it. Is this really a hard item to find sealed?

I don't really care what it goes for, I just don't like throwing stuff away if I know someone else wants it. I just find it funny how the cleaning kit is getting all the attention. The guide said this one (mario cover) is harder to fine, but it's still valued at $0.

For some reason my cleaning kits (NES) get a lot of attention too. The most I've sold one for is $29 and it was used. Not a fluke though because 75% of the ones I sell hit $10+.
A side note of interest, that's the 3rd version of box art.

I thought the one with mario was the 2nd?

Wow, nice cover art. Mario really is a multitasker. He started his career as a carpenter, then he was a plumber, and now a washer/cleaner of some sort. Quite an interesting career!

There are two versions that look quite similar (the first version with the picture of the cleaning kit on the box) and then the mario verison.

Here are three variities.
The first one pictured has the code NES-A-CK UKV on the box tabs (Evidentally PAL version? - which is consistent with the round seal of quality). I have no idea how it fell into my hands though. Also, it's copyright 1991 on the box, the others are 1989.
The second one pictured has the code NES-A-CK USA 1 on the box tabs.
The third one pictured has the code NES-A-CK USA 3 on the box tabs.
Maybe the Mario one is NES-A-CK USA 2??
EDIT - No, it's not. I've got that one too. It's identical to the USA 3 version except that a phone number has been added to the side of the box.

8bitnes: interesting & thanks. Since you're the guru on these things perhaps you should copy/paste your response in a new thread under the guide discussion so they can add/edit what is currently online.

I wouldn't exactly call mine specific variations because the art is unchanged, so I think the guide reads ok. It would be similar to wanting the guide to list the 5 or 6 different Zelda boxes I have (all US).

I was refering more to the inaccuracy that mine is stated as the 2nd version in the guide, but you've got photo proof that it's the 3rd - but I see your point =)
