I know most of you obviuosly know who the "El Capitan" and the "head Honcho" is around here, but for those of you who dont its Digitalpress. I dont how this came over me, but i just wanted to show my respect and thankfulness to the man who made this entire site happen.
Think about what we would do with no place to trade these games, browse forums, or post insane ebay auctions that we have found. Its all because of Digitpress (with credit to other site creators.)
I would like for anyone who wants to thank him, just post a comment or response to show your thankfulness to this site and to DP and the staff.
Thanks JOE!!!!

I completely agree with you guys on this one. I consider this site the single best place to go for video games on the internet. I enjoy the forums, game reviews, rarity guide, room of doom etc and I visit the site on a daily basis. I'd also like to thank Joe and everyone else who contributes to the site for making it all happen.

I concur. I used to hang out almost exclusively at another message forum (coughstardestroyer.netcough), but I grew tired of the spiteful bickering that took place there.
I came across the Digital Press site purely by chance; I had no idea this site existed!
Now, I'm here everyday for hours. A lot of great folks here and there's always something interesting to talk about! Plus, I rarely see bickering. Rarely. ;)

I'll ghetto in on this one myself.
Joe is a great guy that tries to please evryone, don't know how he manages it, but somehow he gets it done on top of his real world life.
The best thing about him though I would say is his humble nature and his ability to be and act like everyone else and just be a great regular well.....Joe.
So lets give Joe a break and say, *here's one to ya*!

Joe Is an amazing guy I have so much respect for.
I mean this site is easily one of the best videogame sites on the web with so much to offer.

Yeah Digital Press rules!
Its the best place on the net for gamers with a passion for video games ;)
These are my favorite forums and have been for 3 years. :rocker:
Sure sometimes we get a few ppl on here that dont really understand or "get" what DP is all about but they usually wander back to the IGN boards eventually LOL
I have tried many games that fellow gamers chat and write about on this board many on EMU that I might have missed "back in the day" and I have actually purchased a few that I knew I would like after reading a post or a quick review.
Thanks to all here and the mighty DP itself. Without it I would have gone postal loooong ago :2gunfire: :hail:

It's a great place and all, quite informative [despite the huge gaps in the database].
I do wish there was more of a PAL effort/presence, both on the boards and database.
Well, shortcoming aside, good job everyone.

I also came across DP by chance, simply by searching google one day for "videogame rooms" becasue I wanted to know if there was anyone else out there with my hobby...I came across DP's room of doom and was mesmorized, I later found out there were links to all the other collections, which encouraged me to collect and game even more. Then I found out that digital press existed, and I browsed the forums for a year reading only, and then I finaly joined to post in 2003 where I have been happy ever since. For the past 3 years I have spent the most time on here daily out of all other websites.
Also these forums are a great place to come to keep up to date on my gaming knowledge :)

What "huge gaps" are you referring to? Almost all the major PAL systems are now covered in the database to some degree, or are at least work-in-progress. Anything that's not yet covered is missing only because a knowledgable PAL editor hasn't yet stepped forward.
And Joe? Yeah, he's pretty cool ;)

I have been using forums for years. I’ve stumbled upon many ridiculous gaming forums where the members act like children. Others are simply fanboy sites that glorify one console and destroy everything else. I’ve only been a DP member for a short time but this is by far the best gaming site I’ve ever seen. The members a re great (most of them), the freedom to say what you truly feel is a breath of fresh air and the wealth of information is unlike any other site. Add to that a great trading/buying community and you’ve got gaming utopia!
Thanks Joe! You’ve made this gamer very happy (and his wife very angry :D )

In SC where I am from there aren't very many game collectors. When I got to the 700ish mark of my NES collection (and feeling quite proud), I started thinking that there has to be more collectors out there.
That is when I found this site.
This place has introduced me to collectors for all systems and has given me new friends and peeps to ask questions to. On my first fisit I found the Room of Doom area and was humbled very very quickly ( and I needed that :D ).
Thanks DigitalPress for everything you have done both time and money. We know this place can't be cheap to run.
I have now found my "internet home".
thanks again,
Mason P.

I'll try to refrain from sounding like a broken record, but thanks to Joe and to the rest of those at DP who give us a place to hang out at and talk. We appreciate what you guys do and what you've given to this site.
Thanks to the other forum members as well ... I've honestly never been to a better message board in all of my years on the Internet. Nearly everyone on here is nice, willing to debate without resorting to name-calling or trolling, and genuinely friendly and passionate about games.

I have to throw in a hearty thank you to Joe and the gang as well. I have learned more about games than I ever believed I could from this site.
I looked for a price guide for about a year before I ran onto the site. I ordered a guide and then the Advance guide a few years later. I now visit at least once a day and I am always amazed by the content. I now use the Buying and Selling forum almost exclusively as opposed to eBay.
Another Thank You to SpasticFuctard who is always cleaning up the messes made by others.

When I found this place I knew about the NES (and how much I loved it), but now I know there were systems before that one that were definately worth a look. And when I was first starting to learn about these systems and great games that otherwise I would have missed out on, everybody here was welcoming and nice to this poor Youngen.
So thank you Joe, POG/Ulala/Jaime, Tim Sniderman, Tempest (if he still might lurk around here), Karl/Yash and anyone else whose tag I can't remember (I really am sorry, I wish I could remember all of your first names). I don't know where I'd be without you guys (but I KNOW I wouldn't be on GameFAQs LOL ).
Thank you!

Thank you Joe. For giving us a place to go to, a place to escape from the hardships of reality at times, where we can discuss the issues of what this industry has done for us (Past, Present and the Future)
Somebody play the "Cheers" theme song...because it's that kind of good feeling to go somewhere where "Everybody knows your name"

it took me awile to realize how cool this website really is. I've been arround over a year and I still find new things to look at all the time. Joe, I knew you were cool even before I met you, but when I saw your collection I was blown away by how dedicated you are to collecting and preserving the games we all grew up with. (In my head it was more like DAMN, dudes got ALOT of crap in here! :D ) Thanks to all the ops who also help keep the place going. I know I've found a new home on the web since I signed up, glad I did!
