Fighter vs. Fighter

I know a lot of people on the DP forums love fighting games and if you're like me there are probably a couple of different series from different publishers that rather catch your fancy. So my question for you is this:

If you could take any two fighter companies face them off against one another a la Capcom vs. SNK who would you pick?

I, being a die hard DOA fan, would love to see Namco vs. Team Ninja. It just seems like the perfect match. Especially since Itakagi-san is always critical of Namco.

So what are you're choices? I expect to probably see someone say Capcom vs. Midway.

Either Namco vs. Capcom in a 3D fighter (not a RPG, but if they ported it, I would buy it) or Nintendo vs. Capcom in a Smash Bros. style. :)

This will probably never happen due to licensing right and all, but... Capcom should make a Marvel vs. DC based fighter. The Punisher vs. Batman, two vigilantes who are extremely powerful, despite not having any actual superpowers. Hawkman vs. Hawkeye, both named after one of the most fearsome airborne predators to exist. The Kingpin vs. Bane, two vile criminal masterminds who are as smart as they are freaking strong. Just contemplate the possibilities! :D

SNK Vs. Sega (Now that SNK has 3D KOF Characters, I think they can pull it off)

That was always my hope too. Capcom vs Marvel vs DC.

Hell, Capcom vs DC would rock my socks too. Capcom, get on it.

It's not a direct crossover but I'm still be itching to see Bionic Commando in a Capcom cross-over game. BC vs Omega Red. Awesomeness.

Thats the only combo that could really work with SNK other then capcom.

Tekken Vs. Virtua Fighter: Two of the first 3D fighters fight against each other for domination. Also, SNK would be decent in a 3D game as long as someone else develops it. SNK: Please stick with 2D!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been out in Japan for a while. It's a strategy RPG, and I haven't heard much praise for it. Love the art design though. Take Dig Dug for example:
