Try the demo:

It looks very good in the new version. It's not
going to be KOF 2006 but if you want a simple
yet quality homebrew game that is fun then I
believe you won't be disappointed with Frog Feast.

Out of curiosity, are you taking pre-orders for Beggar Prince? Any word on price (I've searched your site and the DP forums...haven't noticed anything mentioned about this...)? I would have PM'd this, but I'm sure there are others wondering the same thing. Perhaps this subject is meant to be a CGE announcement? ;)

Will the Commodore game be Cartridge, Disk, or Tape?
Chris,
it will be a disk in a sleeve along with a "dear adventurer"
letter and an official game related badge. All of the package
contents will then be in a larger envelope stamped as
the official "Adventurer's Outpost - sequel survival kit".
The large envelope is hand aged with dies to make it
look like it's hundreds of years old.
There's more but from this alone it should be evident
that we are going all out on the sequel and putting
the original to shame. The actual game will be much
larger and more diverse in the commands than WW1.

Hello,
Although we would like to do so we might not
take pre-orders for this one because we still don't
know the exact price for the production.
The game itself is already finished. The first plant
we hit up for manufacturing was clueless and the
one we are dealing with now is looking to charge
us a lot. OlderGames is not known for making
releases that are anywhere near expensive but
with the current quote we are getting we'd have
to get $60 per copy to make anything off of it
which is something we were heavily against.
The game will come out in the next few months
but we are still trying to get our costs to a realistic
level before we begin taking orders. Please be
patient, I know you will not be dissapointed. :D

NEWS UPDATES:
------------------
As we promised there is some news here...
As some of you may have guessed from the tidbit
on our plans for the show at the CGE website: We have
an associate who has made a new encryption method
which will allow the use of homebrew 3DO games on
consumer players in addition to the ability of encrypting
previously un-released 3DO prototypes to play on
something other than development stations.
This of course paves a new era in 3DO and breaks
ground only thought possible for the last 10 years.
And what can we do to kickstart this new era you ask?
WE'VE LICENSED ICEBREAKER 2 FOR A 2005 RELEASE!

How many games will be limited to 25 copies? Is it just the Amiga CD 32 version?
The Amiga CD game will be the only numbered release.
The others will not be numbered but still limited in
the amount we produced for their initial runs:
FROG FEAST :: NEO-GEO CD --- 25 COPIES
FROG FEAST :: SEGA CD --- 25 COPIES
PINOCCHIO :: CD32 --- 25 COPIES
WEIRD WORLD :: COMMODORE 64 --- 30 COPIES
ENIGMA STUDIO :: PC-CDROM --- 10 COPIES
VGT CHALLENGE :: PC-CDROM --- 25 COPIES
As you can see we always produce in small numbers.

Chris
It will be unveiled and available for free play on our
dev station all weekend. The game will be available
for purchase within the next 2-3 months.
Beggar Prince for the Sega GENESIS will also be
unveiled but we are still unsure about taking pre-orders
at this time. Regardless it will also be coming in the
next few months.

Will Beggar Prince use recycled plastic cart shells or will new ones be made for the game? Also, will the game come in a Genesis style plastic box? I think that it is worth putting a little extra money into the production, as $40 or $60 won't make much of a difference for people interested in buying a high-quality _new_ Genesis game in 2005 :)

How did it go?
It went very well. We had a blast as usual, I picked
up some goodies for my collection, we donated a
complete set of our 2k6 releases for charity and
everyone loved Icebreaker II and Beggar Prince.
I even won a Messiah raffle for this massive SF
anniversary controller and a guile limited edition
controller which had to sit in my lap for 9 hours
because we had no room left in our family van.
We'll be re-launching our store with some surprises
in a couple weeks and will begin to offer up any
remaining copies of our new products from CGE
at that time. 8-)

I was one of the group that won the auction (the guy who walked with you to go get the games).
I wanted to say thank you and I am thoroughly enjoying "Frog Feast" for the Sega CD! I also bought the first copy of "Pinnochio" CD32 you sold that first morning of the show ( #25 of 25) and can't wait to play it!
You can count me in on future releases and keep up the great work!

I'm not sure where you came up with the idea that Pinocchio is unreleased or a proto (although my guess is that you just took this info straight from the Ebay auction where you bought a CD-R copy of the game), but this title was comercially released and the rights are still held by Giunti Multimedia. Are any of your proto games actually licensed?

Are any of your proto games actually licensed?
Hello. Most of our prototypes are licensed by the
developers themselves to us. Although I did not purchase
this one personally I do know that one of my colleagues
found it on ebay.
Where we could get rights for a game we always do
our best to do so. AFAIK this game was orphaned
and unreleased and this is after a handful of people
and not just an ebay auction came to that conclusion.
Although we may be wrong which I am both willing
to consider and accept I do want you to keep in mind
that this game is an exception to our general rule
and that it is quite rare we do anything without at
least some form of consent. Your claims may be
valid but you haven't shown me proof of them.
Should there be any issue beyond your claims such
as the company contacting us I will both write a
formal apology to them and destroy all remaining
copies however once again our research showed
the opposite of what you are saying.
I'm not here to argue or make enemies with
gamers, collectors or the companies. Everything
we do is for the interest of the 3 above. Sometimes
people can be dead wrong and I know that from
personal experience with a certain member of
the blue sky rangers accusing me of being
a certain different persona other than myself.
If this is the case here - you have my assurance
that I will make it right and do what is right.
Last but not least: In case you were wondering
we posted company sales of $310 @ CGE and
$40 at VGXPO after paying out royalties. After
hotel expenses booth costs, gasolene, shirts,
a custom banner and the like I figure we are
out a few thousand bucks but still had a blast
doing it all in the name of fun and games. :D
Feel free to email me if you have any more info
on this game. I will look into it personally.

Thanks Joe.
For everyone else: I must admit we may have been
wrong about the Pinocchio CD32 release. We just
recieved valid proof that the game was in-fact released
but the release was limited to spain.
Although it is "technically" unreleased in most of
Europe, Asia and North America. I have pulled this
product from our store and our catalogue.
You can rest assured that this will not be happening
again with any of our products and was indeed a
goof up although we were still technically correct
about it being unreleased in a more specific geographic
sense. Should anyone wan't to exchange their copies
we would be more than happy to accept returns on
your disks under the understanding that your
copies will be destroyed by us and you will be
given store credit upon reciept of your game.
You can mail: sales@oldergames.com if you wish
to do this and we will work something out for you.
Thanks again for your support and understanding! :eek 2:
