Ran across this auction...

Two games in there I hadn't heard of (and not in the DP list), including Pacman. Did they actually come out for the Nuon?!

Nope! The other is Ambient Monsters, which is more of a screensaver than a game. They're both "homebrews" since VM Labs released the development tools.

That's pretty funny!

Someone actually made COVERS for those?!

Have you TRIED that Pac-Man game? Actually there are at least TWO. They're pretty awful. One of them attempts to emulate the Atari 2600 version... and DOESN'T. I mean... can you imagine?!

Anyway, yeah. Eventually I need to get the homebrews in that section. Maybe my buddy Russ would like to take over the NUON piece of the guide?

Hey that's really not a bad question.

Because in fact, there is no "NUON" system, only "NUON" technology. Essentially it's a process built by VM Labs to be used in DVD hardware. It would allow the player to access special features (if they're encoded onto the DVD's themselves) and most importantly to most of us here, PLAY GAMES. The games are specific to the technology though they're roughly equivalent to PlayStation in terms of processing power and graphic quality.

The best place to look for info is at http://www.nuon-dome.com

A DP Collector Guide of software can be found here: http://www.digitpress.com/lists.htm

Have fun!

Yeah. They're available at the Files/Download section of Nuon-Dome.

Technically, it's just the 2600 maze for the Pac-Man game that was written first, I think... Not really trying to emulate the 2600 version.

Heh, well, Kev at Nuon-Dome is probably better qualified, but I could maybe give it a go. How do you handle things now that you're using a database? I don't have Access, if that's what you're using.
