This question popped into my head. My N64 collection consists of the following:

WCW/NWO Revenge
F-ZERO X
Wave Race 64
WWF No Mercy
Pokemon Snap

Out of all of those, F-ZERO is practically the only one that costs a considerable amount of cash. I know the N64 will never touch the king of great dirt cheap games that is the Atari 2600, but are there any others out there worth hunting down?

Here's a few quality titles I usually see for $2-$5:

Beetle Adventure Racing!
Star Wars Episode 1 Racer
Blast Corps
Wetrix
Extreme-G 2
WipeOut 64 ($1.99 at EB)
1080 Snowboarding

I got F-Zero for £3, and thats the sort of price I see them for in the wild (and sometimes on ebay).. £1 - £5.

Make sure you get:

Super Mario 64
Zelda OOT (MM is more expensive, can go upto £20)
Pokémon Stadium
Donkey Kong 64
Goldenye

And there are loads more, but they are the cheapest, good titles. Sorry about £s, couldn't be bothered to convert them to $s.

Beetle Adventure Racing! and Blast Corps are definitely a good pick and I'll add Mischief Makers and Star Wars: SOTE.

Don't forget about Aero Gauge! Great game. Short game. But GREAT game! You can even enter a code to pilot a Nintendo 64 Controller (though the game is best played in the 1st person POV, so it makes little difference)!

You absolutely have to own Mario 64.....it's the reason the system exists.

I've been giving my N64 some love lately and thus been picking up some dirt cheap stuff.

You can still get sealed copies of Perfect Dark on ebay for prices in the $1 - $5 range.

I'll second Mischeif Makers. Gotta love Treasure. I picked this one up at EB for under $5 around Christmastime.

With discounts I got both Zelda games for $15... I don't know why I never played Majora's Mask before. Awesome atmosphere.

Other honorable mentions:
Starfox 64 ($5)
Body Harvest (lots of people hate this one, but it's fun)
Winback (See Body Harvest)
The AKI wrasslin games (I hate wrestling but love these)
Wave Race

[edit]
I just realized that you said that you have the AKI games and Wave Race. D'oh.

All of these can be had regularly under $10.00, and most under $5.00. If you're looking, I know a store that has most of them in stock ;)

1080
Banjo-Kazooie
Banjo-Tooie
Body Harvest
GoldenEye
Iggy's Reckin' Balls
Jet Force Gemini
Mischief Makers
Perfect Dark
Robotron X
Rush 2049 (more expensive though...)
San Francisco Rush
San Francisco Rush 2
Star Fox 64
Star Wars: Battle for Naboo (okay, that one is harder to find and usually more expensive :( )
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Turok Series (I personally love Rage Wars best, but they are all good and chea)
WCW / NWO Revenge
WWF Wrestlemania 2000
WWF No Mercy

I'm not much of a fan of the system, which is held over from the bitterness of buying it and never seeing certain games come out that were supposed to be launch titles (Earthbound 64 dammit!) but I did have fun with all of the above at one point or another.

I picked up the OoT gold cart two weeks ago for six bucks and am just now at the last castle, most of the side quests completed except for the spiders, and I still think Mario 64 is the best game the N64 has to offer.

Don't get me wrong OoT is fantastic, I want to try Majora's Mask next. Does this game have any variations aside from the gold cart, holo label?

All the sports games and wrestling games go for cheap, but they're not my favorites. The good ones cost a little more from what I've seen, but you have to have Goldeneye and that sells for pretty cheap.

No one's mentioned Jet Force Gemini...easily one of my favorites, and most GameStop's have it for $3 or so. One of the many, MANY great games Rare did for the 64.

Thanks for the recommendations, there are quite a few games I never gave a second thought to before reading this (SF Rush, Iggy, Winback, Aero Gauge, Wetrix)

I knew there had to be more to the system than the usual Mario & Zelda fare and the classic wrasslin' games.

Ohh, I forgot about Tetrisphere.

Seems to be a hate it or love it type game, but the whole atmosphere is just trippy and cool. Fun with friends.

Majora's Mask has two versions I'm aware of. The version with the holo label (which is common as dirt) and the version without (also common as dirt, but I see it less often than the "special" edition). Both versions are gold. There is no grey.

I wish I could FIND Beetle Adventure Racing :(

I've been looking for Doom 64 and Star Soldier myself...I hear both are good.

Personally I enjoyed:
Castlevania 64 (I'm the only one tho)
Dr. Mario 64
Jet Force Gemini
Ogre Battle 64
Pokemon Puzzle League :D
Kirby 64

Other than that, there isn't much I've played that I like. I'm not a fan of the Zeldas myself, nor of Mario 64....

Flying Dragon
Mystical Ninja starring Goemon
Goemon's Great Adventure
Micro Machines 64
Rampage World Tour
Snowboard Kids (Can be found for $5ish)
Space Station Silicon Valley (This was cheap)

These are all cheap games that I personally enjoyed and are worth at least checking out.

Doom 64. Really unique version!

Doom 64 was very good, but wayyyy too dark, even witht he brightness turned all the way up you had to sometimes squint to see where you were going.

Yeah, I can agree with that. I always wondered what they were thinking on that one.
