(here is the description that was in my finds post plus a bit more!)

On sunday i found a copy of Marvins Marvelous Adventure (A1200) at the car boot...

Upon asking the guy the price of it, (£1) he also replied with "I worked on that game back in the day... I was the Producer"
This guy was Stewart Gilray! (A very sound guy who has worked for Psygnosis and also was a Producer at 21st Century)
After talking for a little bit, i asked if he had any development disks or prototypes and so on...
What he had was these Preview Disks and Demo disks straight from Psygnosis of a few games which he kindly let me have.

Included was these disks:

Lemmings Amiga Demo - Psygnosis 1990 (with Lemmings Decal on Disk)
Awesome Amiga Demo - Psygnosis 1990
Shadow Of The Beast Amiga Preview - Psygnosis 1989
Agony Amiga Demo - Psygnosis (No Date)
Leander Amiga Demo - Psygnosis 1991
Infestation Amiga Preview - Psygnosis 1989
Stryx Amiga Preview - Psygnosis 1989

Now these games dont seem to be the typical Demos you normally got, they are the kind that were sent to companies associated with Psygnosis or people working for Psygnosis

For example look at the first screen shown on Lemmings... I have never seen it on another version of Lemmings ever!

Also on Shadow Of The Beast Preview, during the Rolling Demo, these screens are shown!

(Sorry about the reflections... Had to take the pic quick as the screen disappears...)

Also at the start of the Shadow of the Beast Demo, a screen comes up with 2 options, selected by the 1 and 2 keys which are to watch the "Preview of the Beast" or "Make a copy of this disk"

Another thing included was a disk showing the intro in development for an EA game Birds Of Prey

Looking through the other games i recieved off him was also a production disk for the game Birds of Prey (By Electronic Arts)

Upon booting this disk, there is a rolling demo of the 3d rendered intro with the fighter planes...

I thought id share this with you Amiga fans too as im proud to own these and id like to share this information...
If someone could show me how to dump Amiga disks, id be more than happy to, and also taking more photos or even videos of these disks

Suprisingly searching on eBay throws up no auctions or completed auctions whatsoever, so i have no idea on value for these, if anyone has an idea (robotriot im thinkin of you here :P) let me know!

Seems as if these were used in stores to advertise the games, there's somebody else who has a bunch of them too, check this thread over at EAB: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=19417

Regarding the dumping process, check your PMs ;)

fantastic, this is the kind of stuff you want to find. i can't imagine meeting a ex-employee of let's say Rainbow Arts at a flea or whatever, incredible

While an awesome experience, I would find it vaguely depressing that someone involved with a game I enjoyed had resorted to selling old stock at a flea market for a buck a piece.

That's a really weird outlook... plenty of rich folk enjoy the experience of hanging out and selling at the flea market. You think they got rich without being cheap? LOL heh heh

I doubt he was scrounging for cash, especially when he GAVE these to Adam.

And besides, who's to say he didn't get out of the biz? Not everyone in games is rich, ya know.

On top of that, I don't think I know any vendors that NEED to sell their stuff at the flea market...they just think it's a shame to just throw stuff out. One out of maybe 500 vendors at a flea market is desperately trying to make some dough and selling their wordly goods, imo.

Correct Rob!
Stew said he left the Games industry in the GBA days just after he converted/ported his master piece "Pinball Fantasies" for GBA

I did say "gave", but the price was £5 for them (including a another small pile of Psygnosis retail games!) I thought £5 for these and Gave were the same thing :) ;)

And yeah, your right about Car Boots/Fleas.... the majority just wanna clear out of old stuff or experience it from what i have encountered!
Stew was the same, he said he wanted to clear out because he is travelling the world!

Go Game Designers!

Who said anything about being poor? I was just remarking about where the game ended up. It's like Miyamoto pushing a shopping cart full of tatty Zelda titles in front of an abandoned Wal-Mart parking lot in Arizona in the middle of July, sweating so hard he has to take off his shirt and reveal his ghastly paunch that he acquired from a male pregnancy experiment gone horribly wrong in an attempt to prototype the ultimate quirky Nintendo maternity themed game and peripheral bundle, so he had to retire out of shame, also the abandoned Wal-Mart is full of inbred man-bear hybrid hillbillies that want to eat him but shun sunlight.

That Lemmings disc is a 5-level demo, right?
They were sold in games stores for 99p just before it was released, as a kind of 'taster' disk. I used to have one with a colour slip-case sleeve.

What I dont understand is why you didnt get the guy to sign each disk or something

Thats what id of asked, that would make the disks pretty special then !!

I have a couple of these preview/demo disks aswell. They were handing them out back in the day on the CES shows in London. I think it was in Earls Court back then. The Psygnosis booth was covered in Roger Dean posters for Shadow o.t. Beast. By the end of the day none were left. :)
