I found a few threads from a while ago that dealt with this, but I didn't get a definitive answer, so here's the problem in the simplest terms. Game Crazy employees, help me out here.

I bought lots of NES games, and 4 of them I couldn't get to work in spite of my efforts. I brought them back to a different store, because the employee at the store I bought them from told me I could return them anywhere. Further, 3 other Game Crazy stores in my area have let me return games from other stores or told me that you can return games to any store. So, the obvious response when the woman told me I had to go back to the original store was "I've done this before at your other locations, why don't you just try?"

When she wouldn't, I emailed Game Crazy for the official policy, and they said the woman was right, that she could not accept returned games from another store. Later in the day, I returned the games to another store, wrote another email explaining that I had just returned the games from the original store to another store, and I asked how this was possible. Game Crazy HQ's response: "I don't know."

The end.

Thanks for any input.

She's right sadly, I'm an employee of GameCrazy and I do say our policy is utter crap.

Reason why you must return that item to their location, because the computer's systems only focus on that particular store. All it knows, is what's in that certain store and nothing else. (Pretty old fashion, compared to GameStop's advance features like finding out the phone numbers of any store in the USA)

So if you return an item to another store, it throws off the inventory.

The guys who have been accepting those games at the other stores, it's gonna effect that store in the long run when they do inventory.

Please note, GameCrazy is still young and unorganized I feel. I don't know how much longer it will take for them to be on a universal inventory list so that each store that is located near each other can communicate easier. So that problems like this cannot happen again.

You should have let me know. I could have probably made those games work. I seriously doubt all four of the games were defective.

i know, and I probably will let you clean all 450 of my games. I'm not worried about finding a few commons again.

Yes it's in writing, walk in, and there will be a lil plastic sign next to the register usually. States everything you need to know about the return policy

I meant, where it says "You have to return it to the same store you bought it from." I read the plastic sign, and if I'm not mistaken, it didn't say anything about that.

Good question, that's just the only guideline I've known of by the managers actually.
