Hey guys. I live in Ohio, in the 44035 area code. From that basis, I'm trying to find arcades and people to play against. The only good cab I've found is a Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 cab at the mall, which is weird sometimes. So, basically, I need to find some damned people to play against, or at least some nice arcade cabs. Is there some arcade hidden somewhere I've missed?
Also, starting yearly in May or so, Lorain County Community College has an anime convention. They set up a big ass game room, and I'll be there with my Neo Geo AES. I'll tell you guys when that comes up and give you more info.

No they don't. We get violent when they're taken away!

Arcades seem to be gone....the Dayton Mall has one but it's a bit out of date, King's Island, and I think Ceadr Point may have them (the King's Island arcade is pretty dismal, it only has games you ride and/or shoot at. The best places I know of are Dave & Busters, not sure how many locations they have, and GameWorks at Easton Town Center, these are in the Columbus area....Gameworks is kinda cool. You get a meal an as well...there's also a thirty screnn theatre 50 feet away...

Well, Dave & Busters is all new gun shooters. They do have the Capcom ultra-cab with Street Fighter II, but that's it. I remember Cedar Point now though, and they had a shitload of stuff, mainly old Capcom fighters. However, I am not shelling out $45 to play in the damned arcade.

theres a chuck e cheese here i had forgotten about, and a major magics, which is similar. theres also nickle world, where you pay $2 and all the arcade games are 5 cents or free play. theres only a few cabs there though(10-15), and they arent the best titles.

Give me an address on that Nickel World and I'll punch it into MapQuest.

Geneva on the Lake in northeast Ohio has three decent arcades, with a little mix of everything from lightgun games, to a few capcom fighters, and several DDR machines between them. A lot of classic cabs, too. A bit of a haul from where you are, but definitely a fun place to go. Lots of cheap, cheap motels in the town, and plenty of bars and various amusements. The whole town closes up in the winter, however.
Niles, Ohio has Kahunaville in their mall, which has a nice, big arcade with lots of fighters. Plenty of people usually there playing, too. The mall used to have an amazing arcade called Pocket Change Park, but they must have closed it down about a decade ago.

I wish I was born ten years earlier. I would've gotten the real arcade experience, and even to see the rise of SNK.
I FAIL AT LIFE

If you make it to downtown Cleveland, you should check out the Rascal House Pizza at E. 22nd St. and Euclid Ave. While they don't have the vs. fighting games that you mention, they do have Area 51, Asteroids, Black Tiger, Blitz 99, Burger Time, Centipede, Defender, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Golden Tee, Great 1000 Mile Rally 2, Joust, Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Man, Pac-Mania, and Sammy Trophy Hunting.
If you grab a couple of slices and a soda and throw a quarter into a Joust cab, it's damn close to being in a Showbiz Pizza Place circa 1985.
Plus, they have beer.

That place sounds like heaven.
Well, more like a Nirvana. Plus, Galaga rocks.
