I found a loose Pac-Man 5-in-1 plug-and-play at the thrift last night for $7. Almost had to wrest it out of the hands of a small child...

When I got it home, it already had batteries in it. Su-wheet!

Just picked up the 4 NES games from the goodwill at 3 bucks each. All 4 look untouched except for one corner of the spyhunter box. I have never had much luck with finding boxed complete games in the wild, but last week I find that Zelda OOT boxed and now these 4, it must have just been my week.

Those GBA games are in there for fun, 10$ each at Best Buy... Not really a find but just in there for "photographic" purposes

Not much happening for me today, I got:

NES Blades Of Steel (Red Label Konami Classic Series Version) (cart only) $2

N64 Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey 98 (cart only) $1

PC Betrayal At Krondor (complete) $1

That's about it :(

I did find a Dreamcast controller in the box with a memory thing that I could have used and also a Yu-Gi-Oh GBA cart both on a table that stated: "Everything on Table $1". So, I picked them up and asked if they had change for a $10. Guess what? He then said the controller was $3 and the GBA cart was $10. I had a few choice words and threw them back on the table....what an asshole.

I found a ton of games @ EB....

Super C - NES
MM3 - NES
MM6 - NES
MM7 - SNES
Aladdin - SNES

All for $30! I was amazed when I saw MM7 :D

Then I went to a local shop and got 3 old PS Underground Demos for $.50 each and an Official Alundra Guide complete with the memory card stickers.

I spent a total of 7 bucks there.

Actually did good at the garage sales today:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v421/CrushCrawfish/000_0326.jpg

GBA games- $1 each
Lord of the rings: the two towers
Scooby doo & the cyber chase
Jackie chan adventures
Spider-man 2

Not in the greatest shape, but they all work, and you can't really beat that price!

Then I got all this for $10

Dreamcast w/ all hookups, a controller, VMU, and Crazy taxi (loose)

Nomad w/ power supply (It has a huge gash in the screen, but works perfectly!)

Genesis- Mickey Mania (loose)

N64 (all loose)
Star wars rogue squadron
Mario party 3
Star wars shadow of the empire- Japanese version?!- The label was replaced with some store's name and address though. Neat find regardless. I wonder what the hell that was doing there? I didn't see an import converter at the sale...I should have checked to see if the N64 was import modded or something. Oh well.

PS1:

N64:
Jet Force Gemini
Star Wars Episdoe 1: Racer
Super Smash Bros.

Gamecube:

There were also 2 Pokemon guides but I traded them in for store credit at a used game store. They gave me $2 a piece in store credit. :D

Used the store credit to get:

Sega CD:
Panic! Complete but the hinges are broken.

Then the last stop was EB and got:

N64:
Milo's Astro Lanes
Snowboard Kids
Triple Play 2000
$10 total

Thank you, she works nicely, but I need a better RF unit for it.

As you can see, I cleaned it up before I took the picture, because it was pretty funky when I got it.

I already have one, the one I got last week is a spare.

I'm just kinda irked at the recent trend of finds threads, the whole "if you don't post a picture no one will pay any attention to what you got because they are too damn lazy to read" trend.

The first vendor I ran into was the women who sold me the pocket bike.....She had two more..(uh ohhhh)
One was horribly ugly with a stand-up engine..It looked like a junky mini bike/something out of Road Warrior.9($125.00)
The second one was sweet looking, but was used,no stand included and had lots if signs of usage and wear..(dirty tires etc..
$175.00....
I almost bought it....I stood there thinking about it for 10 minutes, then ahh,...I don't have room for another one...No reason to buy another one and I'm very happy with mine, plus I'm saving for a Pinball machine.
Mine has no sign of usage...I just don't know if that one would of been beat to shit so I passed..I can get one new for $ 239.00

In all my life I have never heard a vendor cry and bitch so bad about not making a sale..that weeping turned to anger afterward..So I had to just walk and pull my dad away from this guy as he was turning into a real ass..
We didn't order them from him or ask him to get them..He just figured since my dad always buys he had a definite sale.

Not so much CLASSIC, but my CompUSA has a TON of PS2/XBOX/GCN/NDS games on clearance for insanely cheap prices. And coming off of 13 hours overtime, I figured there was nothing better to do than blow a crapload of the money on games I won't get around to playing for another 2 years.

I checked around, and apparently only a few CompUSA stores are clearancing games right now, and there is no "set" price to the games. So it seems I got lucky for once. Regardless, among them, I got...

GCN - Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door, $29.88 (down from $50)
GCN - Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, $14.88 (down from $30)
GCN - Starfox Assault, $9.88 (down from $50!)
PS2 - Sly 2: Band of Theives, $14.88 (down from $30)
Xbox - kill.switch, $9.88 (down from $20)
Xbox - Tak 2: Staff of Dreams, $9.88 (down from $20)
Xbox - Tork: Prehistoric Punk, $6.88 (down from $20)

My brother picked up...

DS - Urban Asphalt GT, $12.88
DS - Sprung, $7.88
PS2 - Mortal Kombat: Deception, $19.88
PS2 - Sly 2: Band of Theives, $14.88

And for my friend, I picked up...

GCN - Resident Evil 4, $19.88
GCN - Starfox Assault, $9.88
NDS - Yoshi's Touch and Go, $12.88

My, and my brother's, Games...

All I managed to find over the weekend while going to garage sales was a Nintendo 64 system with 3 Nintendo brand controllers, the hookups, the expansion pack, and a memory pack...all for $10 (lowest I could talk the owner down to). I'm going to put it up on ebay...but I probably won't make much profit off of it, seeing that N64 systems don't go for very much money.

Most of the garage sales around here latley have been sucking big time. They are mostly "old people" and "little kid" garage sales.

Wow, I was at that exact CompUSA today (got a crappy keyboard/mouse combo that I'm returning tomorrow and 3 clearance guides) and didn't see a few of those. If it was like last time I picked up some of their sale stuff, you got the last copies of everything, but I'll still take a look.

There are some insane deals there on the newer stuff, but couldn't bring myself to buy a lot of it. Did score the PS2 Alien Hominid there a few weeks back for $7.88 though :)

Not much this weekend. Picked up a copy of X-Men Legends for Xbox at the Wal today, and snagged Oz: The Complete Fifth Season on DVD from Future Shop (10% off all DVD stuff today = $52.19 CDN). Bummed that I missed the 10% off console stuff yesterday.

I'm also heavily debating whether to pre-order the Messiah Generation NEX.

These were actually bought a few days ago, but between having a cold and it being so hot that it's not wise to have the PC on, I've barely had any time on the computer in the last couple weeks.

Anyway, I hit yet another GameStop. Nothing much in the PlayStation section, unlike the last one I went to, but I was surprised to see that this one still had quite a few NES, SNES, and Genesis games. Of course, they were thoroughly picked over, but I found a few titles worth getting after the 50% off discount.

For roughly $20, I got:

NES -
Cobra Triangle
Rollergames
Pro Wrestling (Winner is me!)

SNES - Chavez II (my first R8! Probably the highest I'll ever have too, unless I get REALLY lucky and find a R9. Too bad Chavez 2 sucks, though, unlike all the R7s I have.)

Genesis -
Shadow of the Beast II
OutRun 2019
Revenge of Shinobi
Last Battle

Game Boy Color - Magi Nation (just because it looked intriguing)

And I bought a $3 Napoleon Dynamite Liger sticker for my boyfriend. :P

The employees were cool at this GameStop too. My boyfriend and I were chatting with them about a lot of different things. The guy remarked about how he was surprised that there were still a few gems in there (a comment directed at Revenge of Shinobi). We talked about the whole stop-taking-in-old-stuff rule and how they'd sometimes personally buy the stuff off the customers. He asked me about the GameStop card and feigned shock over my comment that I'm not a fan of Game Informer, hehe. Then he asked what I liked to read, and I said I read 15-year-old Nintendo Power issues. :P Then he started talking about how he had a subscription when the magazine first started. Then we started talking about the new Zelda (since the preview video was playing in the background). Not a long chat, but kinda fun nonetheless.

Finally received three MVS carts that I bought three months ago: Eightman, Street Slam and Windjammers. A Mutation Nation mini marquee was also included. This brings my MVS collection to a whopping eight titles (the others being Magical Drop II, Top Player's Golf, Aero Fighters III, Puzzle de Pon and Mutation Nation).

Coming up next week: a whole bunch of NES games. Stay tuned...

This record was from the Peter Gabriel era. I like that version of Genesis much better than the Phil Collins albums.

I’m saving up to buy a record player. I’m currently looking at the Music Hall MMF-2.1 or 5

Oh yeah, I forgot Peter Gabriel used to be in it.. Well, that's the kinds of things I overlook when I refuse to listen to Genesis.

But yeah, Peter Gabriel is great. I've got one of his solo-albums.. I forget which..

I bought my record player from Circuit City.. it's just something to play records on.. nothing fancy..
But I found an old Record player at a thrift store called an Accutrac 5000.. It has a computer built in it, and a sensor, so you can select which track you play.... sadly, the motor is broken or something, and it won't spin. And I can't find any information on how to fix it..

Boy, the boot sale was awful today! :( I overslept by two hours and when I finally popped along, I only found PC big box versions of Myst and Hidden & Dangerous.

We're talking about the CompUSA that is two doors from Gamestop at the Latham Farms Center, right?

;)

Games that I know I got the last copies of are Starfox Assault, Yoshi's Touch and Go, kill.switch (Xbox) and Tak 2: Staff of Dreams (Xbox)... seeing as to how I got the "Display Copies" for each of them. My brother and a friend of his went later in the day and each picked up copies of Sly 2.

Supposedly, he got the display copy, but they said they had more "somewhere" at the store. They had trouble finding it even when I first bought it, too... so it's possible they DID have more around somwhere. They also said they had more "newer" versions of Starfox in stock, at $49.99. What these "new" versions are, I have no idea.

Did you happen to see how much Metroid Prime 2 was? The game had a $49.99 tag on it, but the copy I saw on display looked like someone had peeled off a couple price tags. I thought about getting 4 Swords for GCN at $29.99, but figured that I'd probably find it easier when it goes to Player's Choice. Then again, I heard it didn't sell all that well, so who knows if it ever will.

Unrelated... does anyone know if Onimusha Blade Warriors is worth $9.88?

:P

Finally received three MVS carts that I bought three months ago: Eightman, Street Slam and Windjammers. A Mutation Nation mini marquee was also included. This brings my MVS collection to a whopping eight titles (the others being Magical Drop II, Top Player's Golf, Aero Fighters III, Puzzle de Pon and Mutation Nation).

Not a fan of fighters, I take it? Seems kinda odd to have a MVS collection with not a single fighter in it. :P My collection of 17 MVS carts is sorely needing some more variety, seeing as it's almost all fighters. My boyfriend is the big fighter fan, so I don't have a whole lot to play on it. I'll pick up and play a fighter now and then, though. :)

I found one last weekend for 5.00 but no one paid any attention because I didn't post a stinkin' picture.

For some reason, I can hear a Kodak film commerical in the background just waiting to happen right about now.... O_O

Yet, I'm gonna say, congrats man. Now we can enjoy the wonders of the NES 2

I already have one, the one I got last week is a spare.

I'm just kinda irked at the recent trend of finds threads, the whole "if you don't post a picture no one will pay any attention to what you got because they are too damn lazy to read" trend.

Oh yeah I understand. I don't know what to tell ya. Just seems to be that way :(

Does anyone else find it odd how some people seem to care more about the attention they'll potentially get for a find than the find itself? o_O I mean, when I get a really great find I'm so excited about the find itself that I couldn't give a crap if anyone else cares or not.

Also, not to start a fight or something here, but from what I've seen, when Cmosfm replies to somebody's else great find it's usually something along the lines of "Fuck you". I know it's just meant to be a silly joke, but it does come off as a bit rude and selfish (in that he seems angry when anyone but himself gets a great find), so I wouldn't be surprised if some people aren't so inclined to give him a lot of praise over his finds.
