I just moved my LaserActive with Sega Pak down to the basement with all my other systems. The problem is that I have to sit right in front of the TV when playing it though because the Genesis controller is way too short.

Were any kind of wireless controllers ever released for the Genesis? Or at least an extension cable? It's be great if Messiah made something but it looks like they are just producing NES/SNES controllers right now.

Yes, the pair I have were made by Acclaim. They work good enough. I found something on eBay, they are loose, but the pair I own are boxed. Pretty cheap.

Those look real nice but I don't think I'd be able to use them on my LaserActive though. Looks like the part that plugs into the control port has a different layout than the Sega Pac. :(

Sega made an official 6 button wireless set. It's infared but I'm sure it's much higher quality then the stuff you see flooded on eBay. It pops up from time to time and usually goes for about $20-$30. I don't think the receiver will fit on a Genesis 3 though.

Well, I went and poped that little sucker open to see if there was an easy way to adjust it. When I opened it, I was happy to see that one of the connectors was on a series of cables, not connected to the main board, and the other was. When I tryed to arrange it like it is on the Laser Active, it didn't reach far enough. So, I guess that wouldn't be the way to go for you. Sorry.

You know, thats pretty stupid of them. I have the Acclaim wireless NES controllers (I just realized they were both Acclaim) and the nes one has the two controllers that goes to a little IR box, and has 2 cords coming out of the back to plug into the system. I dont understand why they would have done that, and then have it one unit in the Genesis days. Maybe people thought that box was inconvienent... I dont know.

Yeah I got the SEGA ones and they are pretty nice, they are hooked to my Genny 1 though.
