Man, I was at a buddy's house and he had the e3 DVD set that was done by Spike TV or something. It's like on 4 DVD's and costs like $29.99 or something.

Anyways, I watched the XBOX disk that showed everything about the XBOX 360, and I can tell you that I'm going to be one very broke individual come November.

Pictures in magazines or on websites, or even video on websites can't convey the power of the 360, and what these new games are going to look like on a proper High Def display.

If you have the slightest bit of interest in the XBOX 360, I strongly encourage you to somehow check out the DVD that has the XBOX stuff on it.

It has the entire XBOX 360 press conference, from beginning to end, and it also has tons of previews of every 360 game that is expected to come out this year. They actually talk to the developers about the game, while you are seeing the game on the screen. The sound is really good, and the picture quality is really good, so you get a good idea of what the final product will look like.

It's like after every XBOX 360 demo that I saw, I'm like , "Damn, I'm going to have to buy that game". I kept saying that over and over. It's just ridiculous. After seeing the pics of the games in magazines and on websites and seeing some video off the web, I really wasn't that enthused about too many games. But after seeing them on this DVD, I'm totally blown away.

There are going to be quite a few XBOX 360 games that are going to be absolute must own games come November.

Here are a few games that I think are absolute must owns after watching this:

1. Need For Speed: Most Wanted - Unbelievable visuals. I've been a big fan of Need for Speed on XBOX, especially the first Need for Speed Underground on XBOX, and this game looks to take that same feel to a whole new level. The graphical qualities of the game are off the charts.

2. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - Before seeing the e3 DVD, I really didn't have much interest at all in this game. Not my type of game. But after seeing a detailed walk through of the game, I'm convinced that this is going to be one of those watershed launch games that lets you know that you really have gone to a new level in gaming. Absolute must have game.

3. Kameo - Again, I really wasn't that hyped on Kameo. I would rather Rare do a kick ass Banjo Kazooie on the 360, but after seeing the e3 demo, I'm totally freaking amazed by it. It looks like the quintesential action/adventure game for the 360. A must have game for the launch of a system, and a great game to go to when you get tired of all the ultra realistic crap. Kinda like Mario 64. When you get tired of playing Turok or whatever, and you just want some action/adventure. Kameo looks to be that game for action adventure, and it looks like it will be the game that will have my kids in a trance.

4. Dead or Alive 4 - In pictures, this game doesn't look all that much different from the XBOX games, but when you see this thing in motion, it's pretty freaking amazing. Whenever I get a new system, I like to get a number of games from different genres, to get a feel for the system. This will definitely be the fighting game I get. Incredible visuals, amazing gameplay, another Team Ninja masterpiece.

5. Ghost Recon 3 - Wow, this game looks like it's going to be the big hit for XBOX 360 this Xmas. This is the game that I'm going to pop in to demo the power of the XBOX 360 on my 113 inch screen. This game looks absolutely sweet.

6. Call of Duty 2 - I never thought I would have much interest in this game, but it appears that they are going all out to make this game a killer audio/visual experience. Especially from the audio standpoint. I didn't think I would have an interest in getting more than one FPS game for the 360, but unfortunately, this game looks to damn good not to get.

7. Saint's Row - Not sure if this will really make it out in 2005, but it does look amazing. I mean it's basically GTA, except on Horse Steroids in High Def. Might not turn out to be that great of a game, but I still must experience this game. Apparently this game has been in the works for several years now.

8. Project Gotham Racing 3 - Truth be told, not much of this game was shown on the e3 DVD, but I just have a feeling that this game is going to be totally amazing.

Anyways, those where just a handfull of the games on the e3 demo that totally blew me away, again, I've seen all these games in magazines and on websites, and I've downloaded the videos, etc, etc, but it's different when you seem them on this DVD and you see just how good they really look, and what they are really going to look like when you get your hands on them.

Man, I'm going to be broke.

When we start getting a mass of real ingame shots as opposed to pre-renders and hyperbole, then I'll start to decide what games I might want...

Umm, Exactly.

That's what I'm saying. All I've seen is just screenshots and stuff, but when you see it moving, and you know it's real, it's different.

You have to see the e3 DVD. It's pretty amazing. I think the whole 4 DVD set has 24 hours of E3 Video on it. The thing is, the video and sound and production are of a very high quality.

It's well worth the money.

I only saw one DVD of it, the one with the XBOX stuff, but already it was worth the time I speng watching it. I would order one immediately.

I will bet solid money that the XB360 does not come out in 2005. Videogame companies have a long history of announcing absurd release dates. Look - how many in-game shots are your seeing for XB360 games? How many previews of big games are you seeing in the magazines? The system is supposd to launch in like 4 months. No way.

I remember PS2 screenshots (I think for an A-Train game) showing up almost a year before launch. Proper games take time to develop.

I disagree. I think Microsoft is dead set on being the first one out of the gate, and I think the hardware part is just about finalized by now. It won't be a strong launch, but I think we'll see it this holiday.

Ok, how bout this....

I'll bet you $20 that it does come out in 2005.

But we don't have to bet cash, we can bet a game trade. If you win, then you can get a free game that I have on my trade list that has a $20 value.

Or it could be a couple of games that add up to a $20 value.

Come on, it will be fun!

I didn't want to get a 360. I was going to only get a revolution. However after reading about and seeing screenshots of Elder Scrolls:Oblivion I can say i'll be wasting my money on the system and that game just like you are.
