I had three game consoles plugged into the same surge protector. 1) NES (Model 2), 2) SMS (Model 1), and 3) Jaguar. Then came the lightning strike!
The NES? Fine. The SMS? Fine. The Jag? It refuses to power up? Could it just be a dead power adapter?
Why were the NES and SMS spared? God works in mysterious ways!

It's a sign. God won't kill quality systems.

If this doesn't work, put the SMS plug into the Jag and see if that works.

The power switch on the Jag has been known to fail.

DONT PLUG NES POWER CORD INTO JAG.
You will get a puff of smoke and a hole in the motherboard.
I think a couple people on this board took the challenge.
They are looking for a new Jaguar.

True, but Sega Genesis 1/SMS power adapter will work perfectly with Jag. No worries. Good luck.

I went ahead and boxed it up to make room for a LaserDisc player (to act as a spare if my living room LaserDisc player dies). I did some spring cleaning while I was at it. I boxed the NES and SMS, added a VCR/DVD combo unit and pulled my top-of-the-line RCA SKT-400 CED player (heaven help you if you know what a CED player is), it died shortly after the lighning strike .
I'm afraid to hook up either of my two mint-in-box Commodore 64's. God seems to be out to kill my outdated technology. My Betamax VCR died a couple of years ago too.
My plan is to hook up my Panasonic 3DO and Sega Saturn to this TV. I may just buy a spare Jaguar off of eBay that's missing a box, since my box is mint. Maybe I can find a CD-ROM drive (The Turd) while I'm at it. LOL

If it was one of those "quality" surge protectors I think they have some kind of guarantee with them. I dont know how you go about getting any $$$ out of it (if in fact the surge protector did fail), but I remember seeing some kind of like $10,000.00 warranty card that comes packed with the ones I use at work.

God struck down the horrible antichrist of video game systems, the atari jaguar.
God decided the evil jaguar was not fit to prowl on this earth and cause chaos and destruction to the hearts, minds and wallets of gamers everywhere.

I'm one of the dumb people who have done this. Fortunately I only liked one game for it, so i'm not getting another one.

Just curious. Which game did you like? Please tell me it's not Hover Strike.
I like the Tower table of Ruiner Pinball. I can't help myself!

It was Tempest 2k. I was interested in getting the two pinball games but my jag broke first. I liked doom too but I can play that on psx.
