Oh, say its not so. :( One thing I was thrilled to see with GCN was they had finally nixed the idiot system suffixes on all their games. I was soooo sick of everything being Super this and 64 that and I still cringe whenever I see it happening on GBA and DS.

A lot of the stuff on this list shouldnt come as a surprise anyway. i mean, its obvious that we are gonna see a mario game, a zelda game, a smash bros. game, a star fox game, a donkey kong game...etc. A list like this could have been posted a year ago and it would have been just as accurate as it would had it been posted two days from the launch of the Revolution. But as far as mario goes.....

HE DAMN WELL BETTER NOT BE WEARING A WATER CANNON........or a rocket pack, or anything even remotely similar.

that list seems fairly legit. most of the games i care about are on ign's list too :)

I personally miss it. Nintendo was selling millions of games when they were putting "Super" in front of everything.

I gotra admit, adding "Revolution" at the end of games doiesn't sound so good. But "Super" sure did. :)

I agree.

But the need for this type of naming has long passed. It was a clever idea to help distinguish between NES and SNES variants of a game series, and help push the SNES... but '64' didn't serve any real purpose.

"No. Nintendo confirmed at E3 2005 that the title 'Revolution' is a codename. A final name for the new console has not yet been selected. It should be noted, however, that the company said the same thing of Nintendo DS, which ultimately proved to be the handheld's official name."

No new franchise for Nintendo like Pikmin? Hope we see something original at launch or shortly after =(

Also, I was really hoping they would add "cubed" (except the superscript 3) as a tag on Gamecube games! Mario Cubed, Metroid Cubed. Woulda been cooler than 64, and way cooler than Revolution.

If this is a true list then thanks for the favor. I was pretty darned sure that I was going to steer clear of Nintendo in the next race.....this list ensures that I will.

You'll get some titles during the first year that might make you run out and buy the system but then the software will run thin, third party will bail and you'll end up standing in a store looking at lots of old stuff that you don't want to pay for. Same ol' Cube in a different box. No thanks.

A) this list is nothing short of bullshit.
B) The games don't have final or official names yet... Most that were "announced" were simply reffered to as "A Mario, Zelda, Smash Brothers game coming to 'Revolution'."

So it's only natural to say, "well, this game we are developing for our new console, the Nintendo 'Revolution,' is nowhere near complete. The public knows nothing about it, the theme is still TBD, and we definately can't come up with a title with so little about the game. So, why don't we just call it, "Super Mario Bros. Game Coming out for Nintendo 'Revolution'" or for short, "Super Mario Revolution"... Good Thinking Johnson, that promotion is as good as yours.

Unfortunately, Zelda is going to come out in 2007!!! @_@
