Rental Copies of New Games

Will they become rare in the future? I have a rental copy of Mario Kart Double Dash, and wanted to know are there really any collectors for this kind of thing in the future?

Its pretty cool, it says Authourised for Rental down the spine and has a hologram on the disc saying not for re-sale.

anything like that will be a collectors item in the future.
you cant be guarentee'd itll be an expensive one, but the chance is always there for limited edition stuff.

I guess it all depends on how many copies stores got and how many stores got the ones with the "Not for Resale" thing on it. If Nintendo produced alot of them, I couldn't see it being any higher in value than the normal copies.
