So I got to the point where it was getting hard to even get into my game room, and I decided it was time to do some rearranging. That was 2 weekends ago....
Suffice to say my wife is none too impressed that my collection is spread over most of the basement now. It is amazing how much stuff you can pack into a small room over the years. So it is now a full blown attempt at reorganizing the Room of Doom.
Have any of you tried putting the provebial square peg into a round hole? I think this is what I am attempting to do. I will post pics of the changes as soon as it all comes together. Hopefully soon!

So that was a week ago...in my blog. I just posted a ton of pics of the changes while they occur, and I figure that I should be about done it today or tomorrow. I will put a bunch of pics up of the final set up in a few days.
Please feel free to leave some comments on the changes or vote on the pics. It's been a crazy couple of weeks but I'm really starting to like the new look.

your room is awesome, I really like the loose console display case and that mario lego set up is sweet.. also, what exactly is the original mario arcade plexy glass.. is that a decal you stuck on your tv.. or.. either way it's cool

It is a monitor bezel for an original Mario Bro's arcade cabinet. It just happened to fit on my tv nice so that is where I keep it. It comes off really easy when it has to.

The first Mario can is full- I wonder what 13 year old Mario Punch tastes like.... I did try 21 year old gum from a Donkey Kong wax pack a few years ago....

ah yes...the delemma of "where the hell do i put this 4' tall box for my ADAM system?" ...yes, yes...i know it well..
I just finished the room, and am taking pictures here in a bit. I will probably throw them in my pics tonight so I can put some commentary on them tomorrow at work if work is slow. Wait til you see how I dealt with the coffin sized box that is the ADAM system. It dissapears nicely!

Well I have finally been able to finish uploading my room pics after the reconstruction!
I had to create a new gallery though! Maybe I had too much in the old gallery, although I did delete some of it to see if I was lacking space. On the good side, my new gallery is only a couple spaces away from a friend of mine, who after much harrassment he has created himself a gallery. He introduced me to this fantastic site many years ago by showing me his collection in the original Room of Doom section. He goes by the name " videogames" and has just simply titled his room "Gameroom"
He doesn't post on here, but I'd have to say he has the largest collection I have ever stood amongst. He isn't even showing off some of the more rare stuff he hoards, or the other room full of odds and ends.
You can see the new gallery in my sig below, it is gallery 2. If you want to compare it to the old look that is in gallery 1.

Thanks Jason! I try my best, but it would be better if I had the homeland access like you. Yes I am jealous, if you ever get bored of your toys I know someone who would love them........HA!
