Look DP is pure because it's unknown. Only true gamers will find there way here. IGN, Gamefaqs, G4 they're all over run by morons who just like to bitch, because morons are sent there by ads and such. Just look at the X-Play fan mail if you want to know the type of people you'd be inviting.

DP is our dirty little secert. It's something that should only be shared with those who are worthy (i.e. those with little or no fanboy tendencies)

I know all this sounds arrogant, but it's true. DP has amazing mods who keep the fighting down when it starts but there's no way they could handle the amount of idiots that post on the G4 forums. We're pretty much free to do and say what we want here. We can have a decent disscussion without it resulting to: "PS2 Rules. Xbox is for gay faggot cocksucking cunt-bags."

The only people we would want from the G4 audience are the people who watch and love Icons, not the filter fans.

We must keep the unclean away from DP at all costs. In short: Reveal DP to the G4 crowd and i will personally punch you in the face. Don't do it kid.

Every person who just posted has good reasons, and I really don't want the PS2/Xbox psychos on here. Xbox guys tend to tell me PS2 sucks because its graphics aren't as nice. njiska, I couldn't agree with you more. I know I'm new to this site, but you are so correct. Only true gamers will find this site. I used to go to GameFaQs, and I'll admit, I still do. It's just the forums are filled with such...morons. I found this site when I started to add to my old collection of SNES games, which was 3 months ago. I needed an online rarity guide, and this one seems to be very accurate. Anyway, like njiska said, true gamers will find this site themselves...it doesn't need any special advertising.

There's really no need to. I know one of the programming honchos Tom Russo pretty well. G4TV attends Classic Gaming Expo every year so I've met most of the personalities there as well. I've even done goofy skits with Tina what's-ername and interviews with Diane Mizota and whoever the cute girl on Pulse is (sorry, I don't watch the station enough to remember all the names).

So bottom line is they already know we're here.

If you're talking about the FORUMS over there, it really won't make a difference. We've been at this a long time - this site and these forums do not appeal to the kids.

No, DP is "pure" and "unclean," because we have good moderating and administrating staff, friendly & knowledgable members, and a sense of community. The forums have changed some in tone with the growth I've seen since I joined four years ago, but the basic premise is still there; that isn't going to change, or else it would have already.

I actually do believe that MVC 2 is one of the best fighters out there, but that's only as far as 2D fighters go. Only time will tell if it stands the test of time like Street Fighter 2 and Fatal Fury have in the past.

I'd say no too. This site is pretty well known and respected as it is. I'm sure there's plenty of lurkers also. Cheap Ass Gamers even know about this site (mainly for rarity information).

I would have to say no as well. I do not post here a lot but I visit almost daily, and one of the things I like about this site is the lack of insane fanboy wars that you get on other gaming sites. While that does happen here, the noise is nowhere near as bad as other sites, and I have a feeling with the new console generation coming up it is going to get ugly.

So please, keep DP the way it is 8-)
