SPOILERS

OK, Obel just got attacked, I used my run of boat killing-ness, passed out, did the ship battle, etc... woke up in my room. Now, I've read around 7-8 gaq's, and they ALL basically say go to the saloon and watch the cut scene.
I'm not getting any cut scene.
I've gone and talked to EVERYONE and everywhere that the game currently allows (only on the island of obel, I can't get on ship atm) No cut scene, no war room, no horn, no flaime. Just mindless wandering and talking to people who don't know WTF is going on.

Any help? I GINALLY had some time to play, and I've been stuck here for NINETY MINUTES.

Here's another post, apparently a fairly common problem. I CAN'T POSSIBLY HAVE TO start over could I?

GINALLY
That's a pretty funny typo! Fun to say out loud.

Sigh, it's always after posting on message boards that I advance.
After talking to the inn-keeper in town for like the 3-4th time, I saw cedric running towards the HQ cave, no advancing story finally, now that it's my bedtime :/

Yeah, my typo's have been horrendous since I colored out all of the keys on my keyboard in order to force myself to stop looking at the keyboard so much while I type.

If I remember correctly, and it's been awhile, Suikoden 4 is full of those kind of story advancing events. I got stuck on one part for quite awhile, I won't say where because I think it's farther along than you are now. I only got it going again because I happened to blunder into the event sequence while I was sailing. Personally, I like some warning or direction when a game wants me to do something, but I guess milling around randomly works too. About the best thing you can do with it is, either hope you're lucky and you find the key event quickly, or systematically go through everyplace and talk to everyone you've ever met starting with the people and places that are closest to the ending of you're last event.
