How have you guys/gals customized your PC to show your love for console gaming? My new big Puckman pimp desktop is one thing I've done but you know that windows error *dong* that you can hear from across the room? Well I've replaced that with the Sega! *.wav.
Here it is if you want to use it for something...

Here is another sega.wav but I'm not using it for anything right now.

I would like to thank you very much for both the idea, and the wav file! I just replaced a whole bunch of sounds with it. It is so damn funny! You just made my day, man.

Sound schemes kind of fell out of favor with me a while back when I had a glitch in my sound card. But one of these days I'll get around to making a proper Earthbound sound scheme.
You can get some of Earthbound's sound effects here and there on the Internet, but nobody's ever done a clean job of it that I know of. I have two computers handy, though, and I know there's a sound test available in the game, so it should be no sweat.

No problem, dude! I just had an idea...you know the enter/exit windows tune? I just replaced that with the second link I provided above.

This is an awesome idea, I would do it right now, except I am on my Mom's laptop. I am definitely doing this once my main computer is all hooked up, thanks!
(Whoo, 500th post!)

When I get a new mail in Outlook, it plays the galaga chance stage tune. I got it out of a DP archive...

and I changed the Windows Exit tune to the Punchout tune from the same archive as above.

Once I saw that Mega Man effect thing for Macs that someone posted, now I'd like to have my Mac's theme to completely be Mega Man. Have like little images for bosses as the icons, some awesome wallpaper...yeah that'd be great. :)

I really haven't customised my windows scheme since I had Windows 98/95. Boy did I used to go crazy with it.

Check out Wincustomize (http://www.wincustomize.com). They have some cool things that will make your desktop cooler :) (like a Gamecube and Commodore 64 boot-up)
