I had this Nintendo brand PC controller traded into my store last night and i wanted to see if anyone has ever seen or heard of it. It has a Nintendo 64 logo but doesnt say "Nintendo 64" just "Nintendo" I was not aware that Nintendo ever made any accessories for anyone but themselves!

It doesn't seem the sorta thing Nintendo would do, maybe pirate or something..... nice little piece though!

I'm thinking it may be pirated, cause I don't recall Nintendo doing PC controllers, and it doesn't look up to the Nintendo quality.

Nope, turns out that it is official:

Nintendo licensed their name to the Laral Group (the 3D1's manufacturer) for this product and obviously rolled the cost of this purchase into the initial pricing of the 3D1.
Despite its goofy looks the 3D1 is a feature packed controller. I still have no idea what the "loop" on the back of the stick is there for! The stick itself is made entirely of high impact plastic. The texture of the material is just too smooth to offer a good grip. However, the stick is mounted on a nice wide base offering great stability. Button placement is nothing special and reminds me of the Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro.

I just did not like this stick and think I am not the only one who felt this way since the controller is no longer being produced (although you can still find it offered through discount outlets and on-line).

yup i saw that as well! it really does remind me of a sidewinder controller. i hooked it up and played with it on a flight sim and it worked perfectly!

I remember when this came out during the n64 life cycle. I tried one, they're pretty nice. I ever only saw them at CompUSA though.

It seems to work pretty good. I dont play to many PC games however and am thinking about selling it :eek 2:
