Hello
I've found (MAYBE) a SNES controller which isn't listed in the Online rarity guide...
Here is the german-ebay auction:
http://cgi.ebay.de/SNES-Hyperbeam_W0QQitemZ5226352650QQcategoryZ11249QQrdZ 1QQcmdZViewItem
Maybe it is listed, but I didn't found it....

Nice, from Konami.
I own some Wireless Controller from Akklaim, too for the PAL console. But the controller have violett buttons.
They called Dual Turbo. I have get them cheap on a fleamarket one time. But I like the company Konami much more.

Damn, I can't believe I missed that auction! Been looking for one for a while, these usually go for a lot more. It's both SNES and NES compatible, and as far as I know it was only released in Europe. It's pretty rare but does pop up on eBay from time to time, usually sells for 20-40 euro. The neat thing about this wireless joystick, aside from the SNES and NES compatibility, is that the receiver is shaped like a satellite dish ;)
If you were the highest bidder on this auction, then you got yourself a sweet deal!

Is this the complete Set, or only one Wireless Controller? It looks strange. The Box looks so small, that only one Joypad can be inside. X_x

Maxlords has one of those, IIRC.

The complete set contains just one wireless controller, so this one seems to be complete (although the seller doesn't mention anything about NES compatibility so it might be missing the NES plugs).

Ok, I have think it must be two, because by my Acclaim Wireless Set there are too two ontrollers. But I have no Box for these.

Yeah, not all [wireless] controllers are packaged in sets of two. The Dual Turbo controllers from Acclaim did come packaged together if I recall correctly, so yours likely came from the same set.

Pretty sure there was another thread about these a while back - someone was trying to establish whether they had ever been released in the US, I think.

No, it was a different thread, not that one. Not finding it in the search engine ATM.

I'd love to get my hands on one of these:

They are built like a tank, and use heavy duty mechanical keyswitches as opposed to rubber domes.

If I had knew that this controller is rare than I had bid on this auction....
Damn...
Anyway....we are now all a little bit wiser.

I can get a new controller of this one:
It's the Konami Hyperbeam Infrarot Controller (SNES)....because the auction is not listed anymore :)
It's complete and sealed. It's not listed in the rarity guide....it's quite rare.
Has anybody interest????

I would have had interest, but I just picked up a brand new one a week or two ago :)
By the way, I found the auction, and the seller says it's 'almost' new, so I doubt that it is sealed - just wanted to let you know ;)

Ahh Ok, I see I misinterpreted that post of yours :)
Well, they don't pop up often, but going by eBay prices they usually sell for 15-35 euro loose or with box, so it fluctuates a bit. I bought mine brand new for 20 euro shipped, but it was poorly listed, so I got lucky. I'd say a brand new one is worth around 30-40 euro.
