:hmm:

Picked these up at a car boot sale this morning from a big 'take the lot for £5' box. What are these? I'm not sure whether the text on them is the name of the unit or the company that produced them...

I've had no luck getting these to work, either. Luckily they have standard RF connectors and not some oddball kind, but when I plug them into my TV card and turn to tuner channel 36 as usual, nothing happens when I press the power switch. Luckily I was given a power cord that fits them properly, but I'm going to give batteries a try if the thing STILL doesn't work. Grr.

Those my friend are what i like to call "Primative" Pong systems...

What you paid is probably the right amount too, but dont expect much gameplay out of these unless its your kinda thing...

They're pong systems. All three of them (the first 2 use cartridges, the third one has its games built-in).

Here's an interesting article about cartridge-based pong systems that I found by googling the first system shown:

The last one (the Binatone) is actually the first ever video game system I had 8-)

Channel 36 in the UK now is roughly where Channel 5 TV broadcasts btw. That might interfere with things. It's why VCRs were returned years ago to avoid conflict. Nothing was done about computers though (I can't use my C64 and have the aerial in the same time on the TV).
