Is Glimmerati the first M rated mobile game? I think it might be I seem to remember the developers at E3 talking that up.

All in all it's one of the better N-Gage titles I think. At first I was like wow this game is really cheesy I don't know about this then I was like wow this game is really cheesy I think I love it.

It's a story driven racer (pun intended). The story as cheesy as it is really does make the game. Of course a lot of the game involves driving super models around and racing but without the funny story content it wouldn't be much of a racing game with Asphalt and Collin Mcrae Rally on the same system. The top down view works well on the N-Gages verticles screen. It seems developers are finally finding out the best ways to make games for this system.

There is also the posibility that this ends up being the last US released N-Gage game as it appears all future N-Gage releases have been discontinued from both Gamestop and EB Games.

well I wonder what the big deal was then. I wonder if the developers considered mobile different than portable? Since their is a video clip over at Gametrailers.com where they talk to the developers and they said several times it was the first mature rated mobile game. I guess I don't have any idea what that means. I would guess portable and mobile are the same but who knows.

I think they want to make the next couple of games download only but i'm not sure. Then wouldn't that mean that Glimmerati is the last game?

Here is my theory on what Nokia is up to:

They want to support the current N-Gage model with MMC card distribution through to 2006. In September they are supposed to announce the new Smartphones that will be able to play N-Gage games through web downloads. Nokia has had a hard time selling their games in the US market through Gamestop and EB. I think they are only going to push the new Smartphones here in the US and give up on the MMC cards. It looks like they will continue the MMC support overseas but not in the US. I'm hoping though that they will allow the die hard N-Gage fans in the US to still order from their website but I guess only time will tell. Catan is supposed to be released August 25th so that will give us a good idea what might happen with future releases.

Lets hope Glimmerati isn't the last game released in the US since some great games look like their on the way.

There's a fine line between mobile and portable.

the mobile market is the cell phone market, where the portable market is the gba/gb/psp/ds

the ngage tries to be a mobile that competes against the portables, but ...yea... :( Shame, there's some really nice titles on the system that you can't get anywhere else. Might have to pick one up sometime soon just for Pocket Kingdoms, Pathways to Glory, and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
