Really crappy weekend....

SNES console bare + NCAA basketball for $5

So I went home to get my stuff before my mom moved out... checked it out, and found:

Final Fantasy II box
Final Fantasy III box
Secret of Mana box
PS1 picks (came with my original playstation on release day!)

Man, I am so happy I still have this stuff from way back when, knowing it was mine doubled the glee!

Funny thing is, I don't own any of these systems. I've just heard so much about Ico that when I saw it, I figured I might as well get it. Guess now I need to get a PS2.

Searching through local thrift stores, I found:

The Bard's Tale and Klax for NES with boxes, though the store wrote the price (1.99) across the front of each.

Oh, and The Bard's Tale label needs a little glue on the top to keep it down...not a major repair....

1st time I'm contributing in this forum. I guess I'm just not around enough. :D

Won an Ebay auction for the Biohazard "suitcase". RE fans will know what this is. For the rest, its a limited edition set w/ Biohazard 1-3, CV complete, and some other neat items.

Bought Mega Man 3 loose for NES. $10 Cdn. Maybe too much...

And found a 27" (?) Sony TV from 1987. No stereo, but dual mono. Its probably one of the last models w/ wood on it. Great for Coleco/NES/SMS. $15 Cdn.

Now that's pretty! Good win for sure!

I have so far got:
Project Snowblind, New XBOX, 19.99 at Best Buy
Ralisport 2, New XBOX, 17.99 at Gamestop.

And just a lookout for everyone, I don't know if it's like this at everyone, but my local Wal-Mart and Target had alot of stuff on sale for some reason, ALOT more than normal.

I actually loved it, short and sweet. The Hulk Hogan wannabe is a riot. It was a nice attempt at the brawler genre when Final Fight and Streets of Rage were huge.

PDorr,

I am not quite sure, I haven't seen too many complete lately, usually I would have passed this up, but it is complete, and the price was right for me.. I think this was the gameboy pocket's last ditch effort.

My brother claims he saw these in Target right before The Gameboy Color system came out and it was packaged with Legend of Zelda Links Awakening (gray cart) for $50

Stopped at a local GameStop and picked up a few PS1 games.

Trap Gunner: Countdown to Oblivion - $4.99 (Complete, great condition)
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX: Maximum Remix - $2.99 (Complete)
Battle Hunter - $2.99 (Complete)

I forced myself to pass up on Gex: Enter the Gecko and Medievil for $5.99 each. I also had to pass up on Command & Conquer: Red Alert Retaliation for $17.99. I really want C&C but I think that is too pricey.

You can transfer an FF7 (PSX) save from PC back to your memory card with the Dex Drive. But if you were trying to transfer a FF7 file from the PC version, I'm pretty sure that's not possible. It's worded slightly weird. ;)

Went to Best Buy looking for a Hotsync cable for my new Zire PDA. Bought it off Ebay to keep game list on to prevent buying the same games twice and it did not come with the cable. They did not have the cable but I did pick up the following PS2 games:

Xenosaga Episode II - $19.99
Beyond Good and Eveil - $9.99

The Xenosage was in two different places in the store. One marked $49.99 and the other $19.99. It rang up at $19.99. :) I had been waiting for a price dorp.

The same store that I got my Turbo Duo at a couple of weeks ago came through again for me today:

Genesis:
Outrun - $2.99
Robocop vs Terminator - 99 cents
ToeJam & Earl - 99 cents :D

I've already got the boxes for these games but they're in storage until we move.

As a sidenote I got NBA Hangtime at the local SA for $2.

Stopped at a video store I'd scored at once before after visiting the "For Christ's Sake, Put Down The Cheeseburger" Menswear store for some new business shirts, and ... scored again.

All ex-rental, complete, seem to be decent nick, $AUS10 each:

PS2 7 Blades, Jade Cocoon 2, Wizardry, Star Trek Voyager Elite Force, The Thing, Battle Engine Aquila, RPM Tuning, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, Contra Shattered Soldier, Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain, Ape Escape

GC Scooby Doo Night Of 100 Frights

Rather stoked and broke, but it's all good.

about 3 years ago I moved out my my parents house (massa2shits) and moved to las vegas.

I had to leave most of my stuff behind, and my parents were nice enough to let it stay there.
slowly over time they've been mailing me stuff (as I send them money to do so) and my mom surprised me with what she sent this time!

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/finds082005.jpg

she sent my original nes delux set!
inside the box was my rob with most of the stackup parts and a few gyromite ones. as well as my original nes with my first smb cart inside (the nes is long since dead)

she also sent me my sealed copy of shining force 3
(I had bought it right at the end of the saturn life for 20$ new)
unfortuatnly there are a couple cracks in the case from shipping :-(
but at least I have um a sealed copy or something (I don't really collect saturn anyways)

but yeah i'm happy to have rob back in my collection again, now to hunt down the missing stackup pieces (proably in other boxes of stuff..though I know my dog got ahold of the white block at one point)

oh and the second nes is complete and unused, we got it at a yard sale for 5$ not too long ago, with amusingly enough a copy of tecmo superbowl inside the nes.

fun times

Here over the past few weeks, I have been hitting it pretty good at the goodwills and thrifts... Heres what I got today...

http://premium1.uploadit.org/mattiekrome//08-11-05-Gaston-GW-27.JPG

$27.00 for all :/ Not great, but still just a little more than 2 bucks an item. The only thing is my Saturn "3 free games" did not have Daytona USA in there. Instead it had the nights demo disc and some not for resale bootleg saturn disc (the brown one). Otherwiise, everything is complete (except the NES games of course)...

I do remember seeing a daytona USA game in a aerosmith revolution-x box, but it never occured to me that it was supposed to be in my box. I might go get it tomorrow so it will be truly complete

Just picked up the PS2 version of MAXPLAY Vol. 01 from a bargin bin. I knew it was going to be 10 shoddy games on a disc but I had no idea it's actually a GBA emulator with a coupple of games, some written in DragonBASIC (http://www.dragonbasic.tk). I don't think the emulator supports sound because the music is a coupple of MP3 files that are played over the games. If you want the original sound and far better framrate just take the roms from the CD and play them on a PC GBA emulator instead.
