I was curious, so I ran through my collection. I was mainly surprised by the sheer number of manufacturers. 109 manufacturers for over 500 games!

Each "*" represents one game. Data is taken from the DP online database using the listed manufacturer. What strikes me as odd, though, is that some of these names are ones that I had only known as developers. Is this just new to me, or were some of the games in my collection self-published by companies that normally are better known as developers?

Capcom, Konami, Nintendo and Tecmo are my biggest groups. Well at least for this generation, i haven;t had time to go back through all the old ones yet.

I think most of us will have a lot of Capcom and Konami games. Sega and Nintendo should be high on the list too.

Capcom, Konami, Nintendo, Sega and Square (Squaresoft, Square Enix) are responsible for the overwhelming majority of the games in my collection.

For the others:
Namco- Katamari Damacy, Tales of Symphonia, Tekken 3
Atlus- SMT Nocturne
Bandai- .hack series
Ubisoft- Beyond Good & Evil
Rare- Perfect Dark, Jet Force Gemini
Working Designs- Lunar series

Capcom and Square. They are my favorite 2 game companies. Street Fighter and Mega Man are my favorite series of games. Also, Squaresoft, of course, has the Final Fantasy series, Chrobo Trigger/Chrono Cross, and easily one of MY favorite (but not other people's) RPG's, SaGa Frontier.

According to IGN:

Favored platform: Super NES
Favored publisher: SEGA
Favored developer: Nintendo EAD

I would say the majority of my collection is Sega, Nintendo, Capcom or Namco. I also have quite a few Taito games (mostly imports).

I'm pretty sure that if I counted it out as a bar graph like that, Namco would have the longest one.

Er......maybe I should rephrase that.

I'm a sucker for Namco's racers and also anything else that they develop. I do have a lot of Nintendo's stuff.

My current PS2 stuff is a mixed bag. I've got some Namco stuff (Arcade Classics, Katamari Damacy), but I think everything else is from other developers.

Now Gamecube on the other hand-I think every single Gamecube game I have is a 1st party game. *runs over titles in head just to make sure*......yeah. I'll always get the PS2 port of a game over the GCN version because the PS2 controller feels more normal to me.

I don't feel like counting them all at the moment but I have a feeling this would be the top 5:

1.Nintendo
2.Konami
3.Hudson(most of the turbo stuff)
4.Sega
5.Squaresoft

There's probably a decent amount of EA,namco and capcom as well.

Nintendo, Rare, Sega, Namco, Konami and Capcom I'd say. Oh and a few treasures. :)

I was going to march in here and say 'JAPAN' since that's where most of the games are MADE, anyway. :P

But I know my top 5 manufacturers from my old IGN list:

Nintendo
Konami
Capcom
Sega
EA

I'm pretty confident that the majority of my games are manufactured by Nintendo.
