Brief trailer makes it look pretty accurate to the orignal, just with 3-D movement.

Damn... I was hoping for a full 3d rampage. I'm still waiting for ANY giant monster game thats good. Godzilla has failed this challenge, but I still haven't played war of the monsters.

I sure hope its better than the last. Rampage Through Time was pretty stale and I hardly ever say that about a sequel.

I think that you would have to try pretty hard to make this game suck. The gameplay is just like the original, only you can go around sides of buildings and through a landscape. I say it looks cool.

Yeah, Rampage Through Time sucked, but mainly because they removed the stuff that made the two previous installments (World Tour and Universal Tour) so great.

Hopefully this one'll be good.

Rampage is so stale now, it's not even funny. And I used to love Rampage, you know, like 15 years ago.

I would bet my life savings that this game is going to get panned, hard, when it comes out.

Or whatever that one was called

I've got R: World Tour on Saturn (damn lazy bastards no 3 player mode!) and well, I wish I could even call it a guilty pleasure, but truth is, it's not THAT fun to play, not even for 10 minutes. In this day and age, I guess we come to expect more from a game than "smash, scale, smash" ya know? It's a shame, as I loved NES Rampage and must have rented it 10 times 15 years ago.

I really loved world tour on n64, it was highly addictive. Looking at the trailer I am impressed, but I have a strange feeling it might just fall flat. Heres hoping it is a classic though.

I love it on my N64 and can't wait to get it on gamecube.

btw: For PS2 and Cube only?
Midway gone nuts or what? I thought they pissed on cube

Rampage World Tour is one of my favorite arcade games that I own. It feels good to get in there and do some smashin' after a long day at work.

I think that trailer looks pretty sweet!

I saw screenshots of it and it looks really good, kind of excited for it but i don't know we will see how it turns out, should be fine though.

hopefully :)

Its amazing how long this series has lasted based on the very basic concept. Back in the day it was great fun to drop a few quarters in and punch your buddies character but it is not the type of game I would spend any real time playing. It is perfect on one of those retro comps from Midway where it is a small part of the total package.

Headline: "Latest VideoGame Furor: Kids 'Rampage' Through Terrorist Simulation"

Well, I hope not, but I would laugh (and then cry) if it happened.

I agree, man, I loved playing it on my NES back in the day. Now, no matter what version I try, NES, Arcade, current rehashes...it all bores me beyond reason and I can' play for more than 10 minutes before I'm falling asleep.

Hopefully this one adds something new to the mix

I really don't know what to think about it. I loved Rampage and World Tour, but I don't know just how well this will work in 3D. It looks alight, and I hope for the best, but... yeah.

I've completed the Sega Master System version and World Tour on N64. It's honestly one of my favorite series. It seems playable to the end and it is definately MUCH LESS repetitve than many FPS games.

That looks pretty fun.
I liked the NES and N64 versions, and it looks as though I will like this one as well.
Good commercial too. Espessially the end LOL

I can heartily recommend War of the Monsters for PS2 if you want full 3d mayhem. It's much better than Atari's Godzilla games. It might be a little hard to find WotM but is completely worth the effort.

As for this new Rampage, it looks pretty decent, but I don't know if I could get into it much myself, and I loved the original game, which came out when I was in high school. Still, I would probably buy this for my son, who spends a lot of time with his friends playing Rampage on my MAME cab.
