So I'm thinking of picking this up cause i'm going away on a business trip for a week and will have nothing to do. Any of you playing this? What do you think?

I read the gamespot review and it looks pretty good. I like that it's made by a new(?) company "Sting".

I've nearly beat it, here is a very quick rundown

New concepts never seen before in an RPG.
Gorgeous art work.
Unique battle system.
Bland story that has been hashed and rehashed in dozens of RPGs to date.
Repetative game play.
Not particularly challenging.

7/10

I went to several stores to try and buy this game. Wal-Mart was like, "What are you talking about?" The local game store told me they only got two copies, and they sold in two days. So, is this a typical Atlus underproduction, or is everyone snapping them up before I can get my hands on one?

Both.

The store I work only got 2 in. I bought one, and the other sold shortly afterwards. There has been no replenishment stock at all, despite numerous requests.

I just saw this on the Atlus web site.

NEW SHIPMENT OF RIVIERA: THE PROMISED LAND SENT TO RETAILERS NATIONWIDE
Having trouble finding Riviera in stores? Fear not, more product is on its way to stores right now! Don't miss out on this wonderful GBA RPG!

So, hopefully those of us that missed it the first time around will get another shot at it in the upcoming weeks. Good to know.

Wow an atlus game that actualy might not be rare? seems like they are really taking advantage of the success of disgaea and such, so they are re-releasing their games alot more.
