The former 30% off sale is now down to 50% off, starting today.

Here are my finds from that sale today:

Final Fantasy Tactics (GBA) - $17.49
Devil May Cry 2 (PS2) - $9.99
Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone (PS2) - $9.99
Shadow Hearts: Covenant (PS2) - $9.99
Ghosthunter (PS2) - $9.99
Drake (XB, 2 copies, trades in for $15 at FYE) - $4.24

Best of all, if you purchased a 30% off item in the last 30 days, they'll do a price adjustment with your receipt. I bought Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne for $34.99 a few weeks ago, so I'm taking my receipt back up to the store to get my $10 back...

Cheapassgamer.com said that Drake now trades in for $9 at FYE, so those suckers are going back. I'd probably only be able to buy one CD after trading in both copies...

And incidentally, guys, the parents are now getting wise to this sale. Last time, we had a heads-up on them, but I'm sure this sale is on fatwallet.com and others. When I got to TRU this morning, there was a line of parents in front of the door, so I wouldn't wait too long to get in on the goodness. I had my list in hand...

I went to my local store and it wasn't nearly as good as last year's, probably because most of the games that would've been green tagged have been long gone. Eh, can't win 'em all.

I picked up R-Type Final for $5. I'm going to wait a while on some of the other stuff. They had atleast 10 copies of Onimusha 3 and Soul Calibur 2 for the xbox.

Hopefully in a month or two, they make it 70% off and then eventually 90% off like last year.

Oooo...Shadow Hearts 2 for 10 bucks. I think that's the best ps2 rpg I've played so far. Anyone who hasn't gotten around to check it out better go look for it ;D!

Like last year i am going to bet the rest of the summer.

I have done some scans on a few games and each of them came back saying it was on sale until 12-31-05.


I went out today to see what was left and got the following:

PS2:
Hitman 2 (GH) - 4.98
Red Faction (GH) - 2.99
Second Sight - 4.97

GC:
Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance - 2.49
Timesplitters 2 - 4.99

The best stuff I had already snagged back during the 30% sale because I was afraid somebody else would grab them.
My TRU doesn't have a wide selection so games like R-Type Final, Firefighter FD18, and Mega Man Anniversary Edition had only one copy each. So I had to make sure they went to a safe and loving home. LOL

I'm failing to see anything great posted here so far. Every time I go to these sales there's nothing there or what is there has minimal savings or isn't worth buying at all.

My TRU must suck. lots of games green tag prices were double what they are at other stores. Had to pay 9.99 for Hitman 2.

Meh, nothing special really. I also gotta' admit I didn't really see anything that amazing worth going out of your way over. Picked up a copy of Sabre Wulf for 7 dollars total and that was it.

I didn't have too much cash to blow this weekend, so I just picked up a couple games that I have wanted for a while but haven't picked up yet, namely Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Onimusha 3.

The TRU I went to had a pretty decent selection, but I am waiting until it drops (hopefully) to 70% and 90% off before I go into a game buying frenzy.

I went back for Metroid Fusion because it was the last copy.

I may go back for Drakengard since it is only $10...and since I want the hot manager's phone number. :-P
