Screw ripping, YOU CAN PLAY DREAMCAST GAMES OFF THE HARD DRIVE.
You lucky duck!
Do let us know if there's anything interesting already on there.

Congrats man, great price! Check out if something is left on it,would be great if you'd find some stuff.
This (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/legit/) web directory, other than having a lot of great big-breasted women, has pictures of Dreamcast prototypes and Sega development hardware.

It also seems that this guy owns a lot of the stuff. I may contact him later... or not.
It also seems that he sold (http://forums.segaxtreme.net/index.php?s=8650e996b63087da817499fec39d8e99&showtopic=13490) a lot of them.

Nice pics, this guy is also a member of this forum and has some proto stuff indeed. He was selling in buy/sell/trade thread.
Well, it arrived, but it's pretty damn complicated. It turns out that it may not even have a GD-ROM drive in it and that it needs a seperate PC to be used WITH it with GD-R emulator software running while a SCSI connection is used from the dev unit to the PC.
All I'm getting is a blue Dreamcast screen.
